Sneaky rat found assignment exploit
« on: September 26, 2014, 08:45:38 AM »

The Rat, quite notoriously known (and self proclaimed) to be a rat for the lawyers, managed to sneakily tag me while i was in dialogue with the heart assignment granter, from there he brought a squad of Lawyers to the assignment location on the map, and managed to murder 2 unsuspecting members.

I applaud him for his creativity, but recommend a fix of sorts.

Perhaps a confirmation message for accepting people who tag you? So at least they can't sneak in while you aren't looking hehe.

Be more careful and untag the guy.
(hold alt and klick the char you want to untag)
It's no bug and if it is an exploit at all, he is exploiting your unawareness.

You sure about that? You must have missed the part where he tagged me during dialogue, he was also in a position in which it is difficult to even see the tiny follow dot.

But if you say it's legit, lol, I'm off to troll some new players on assignments for the insult to mah famileh!

Also im supposed to alt click him while clicking accept mission with him in the room.

That's like a 50% chance he will tag no matter how "aware" I am, so your logic is flawed.

If you need to make an alt in an enemy faction to do something that benefits your own faction then it is an exploit, especially if part of doing that something depends on flaws of the user interface.  It would be hard to find a better definition of an exploit.

He protects this exploit because he is the rat or one of his friends.

The alting can maybe seen as exploit, ill give you that.
But it stands seperate from the ablility to use your godgiven senses.
Devs put in the untag option for removing unwanted guests.

But clicking 2 buttons at the same time is impossible, soo, there is a gap for it to happen on chance anyway, despite your idea of awareness.

LoL he's still at it, under different alts, sneaking in just as i click.

I hate to be a dick about it, but he did shoot his own faction too.

EDIT; Nevermind, they seem to have moved on to actual ZC, which if they had the numbers for, why are they trolling our assignments lol....

I applaud him for his creativity, but recommend a fix of sorts.

That was the very first thing our team had done on this server xD. But we feared that this'd be considered an exploit and forgot about that.

You guys are the family, A gang of drug dealers, bad ass's, Mafia, etc. And you complain about exploit when feds break open ur door and kill u when ur doing a drug transaction ? This is outragous!

It's obvious there will be a rat that sneaks in and busts u guys! You guys gotta watch out for people wearing a wire. What else do you expect?

Ok sure its maybe against the rules. But it was stricky for role-play perposes You guys gonna cry about it ?

Also note: The law gave them their loot back. End of story.

Serio? Talk to your friend IronMaiden, I gave him back all the loot found on the bodies, And told him to give them back to his friend.

Think I can even get a log message saying it.
Talk to IronMaiden about it and if he say its not true ill post log here.

Ironmaiden complained sooooo much about that.

Ironmaiden, the same guy who goes in robes to ZC, complained for about 20 minutes about his metal armor...

And then didn't even give Sub her gear back.. This guy.
