Books for xp

I tried reading "guns and bullets" and I can't get it to work. Can I get xp by reading the books and mags?

Every book aside chemical journal is useless, consider it a trading junk item
Chem journal is used to get either craft blueprints or 1k reputation, surf wiki for more.

books are very common so i usually go home with 40-50 books from scavenging, thats a lot of money if you sell it to the right person

Books make me some good income, after missions I think that I get most of caps from selling books.
