I tried launching linux client, complained about no libxft, so I installed package libxft:i386 and it started after that and created a window

After it launches I get a black screen with a clock cursor and then at the bottom left an error says "Executing start script failure" and I can go no further.

The captcha images for posting are really bad, btw.
