Lag in combat
« on: October 18, 2014, 04:23:02 PM »

I just found out that it is not normal for your character to lag when trying to run away from an enemy, it happens to me every time and when I try to fight instead, my character always seems to be bale to only put in one shot (two if im lucky) then I die. It seems to getting worse and worse, today I died from a single wolf :/ it probably has something to do with my internet (I have satellite) and the weather here has been pretty bad lately.

My question is: is there a way to reduce the lag by changing something within the game options? Or am I stuck with a laggy internet/character?

I've had this problem only during the very first day, then it just dissipated.

Confirm. It seems the server is overloaded with some shit (tons of junk in core locations, not erased locations after assignments etc.)

We should organize core-cleaning services - keep our fair metropolis clean! I always try to get that junk in the core when I can.

Move to Europe closer to the server. Thats really about it. EU players have a pretty significant advantage over players from other regions simply because they don't constantly moonwalk in combat.

I fought a Brazilian player once. I felt bad for him, it looked like moving was painful. Then he suddenly disappeared right before my eyes, so go figure...

No we shouldn't. Developers should find some decision of this problem, otherwise this server becomes non playable in a few weeks.

The moonwalk is a bug in the game engine itself. Only when you have more than 200-300 ping you will suffer it, players who live next to the server location will not experience it unless the server is loaded from being too many days without a restart.

like he said its a bug in the game engine itself as if our enemies have mastered the power of time and make us moonwalk while they travel to us in a second in order to strip us of our souls and continue their hunt for more unlucky wastelanders
