ye i got same 2-3 tims just it was 1000 and when i logied in it sead you lost rep while you were ofline

This happened to me too, I thought it was a strange glitch :P
So please explain cirn, what and how much is this paycheck? will 10k be the most someone can have, what exactly is the plan here? I have 68k rep so this is going to take a while if all that is drained is 1k :P

I am very glad to see this feature come in.
I think losing almost 5k is a little sudden and worrying.
Have you thought about incorporating how many zones are controlled as a bonus mulitplyer??
2 zones controlled = 1.2 x pay packet

CURRENTLY :
Activity in the core will generate CORE money. ( Active hours, zones can be worth perhaps 16x more than off hours )
Owning ZONES will give FACTION money from the CORE.
FACTION gives YOU money.
Your payment is split between all your ACTIVE faction mates, swarms "technically" get less per person.
Your salary is effected by your reputation vs the average reputation of your faction.
ACTIVE PLAYERS = More than 10k rep.
These payment ticks occur around ever hours.
You will be paid and rep will decay even if offline so you can do a hard day of ZC go to sleep, wake up, get your paycheck, buy more equipment to hordePvP.
The offline rep decay is currently logged but not put into effect, when it is enabled you will get a huge drop in reputation.
This decay should not bring you below 10k rep.
Reputation system will be changed a bit more to accommodate the 10k baseline. Friendly fire penalties will be changed from automatic punishment to manual punishment controlled by the victims.
In the immediate next few patches:
When I finish the core caravans, factions will only earn money when their caravans, which spawn in the zone travel across the core, reach the gates safely.
CTF will probably become a multiplier to the faction income.
This payment will be the primary source of caps in the future.
Heavy tuning will be done, currently the system is in testing on the live server, please provide bug reports and feedback.

Will the decrease of reputation for each hour be reduced ?
Currently, without the offline decrease, you can lose 5K reputation at once.
If you keep losing reputation when offline, you could lose all your reputation in a day.
Might be better if you lose only 500/1K reputation for each hours (counting off-line hours)
So if you miss a day, you would lose 12K/24K reputation, not 120K reputation.

From what I understand:
Rapid decay would infer:
-Paid by the hour
Slow decay:
-Paid like salary
I guess the salary concept is more correct as the immediate payment from ZC performances are there.
I will make full decay occur within a week of inactivity. Over 24 * 7 periods of decay a person with maximum reputation of (100k) will decay to 10k: 90000 / 168 = 535.
I'll change it to that next update and see how it goes. For now I just wanted immediate results so the decay is 10x that.

btw, the NPC that gives you money for murdering people and losing rep is now in every faction's structure, ust go talk to them and tell them:" OI VEY, GIB DE SHEKELS"

If that system is implemented, it would be better to :
- Remove the requirement of 30K to create/be leader of a platoon.
Our newcomers would need a huge amount of activity if they lose their low amount of reputation all the time. (they rarelly manage to win tough assignements or damage enemies in ZC, but those guys are playing. Just that their success are not enough to counter rep loss)
- Lower the requirement for taking heart elevator, under 10K.
Same as above, our newcomers struggles to maintain a reputation above 10K.
Yesterday, we done an heart assignement with a 10K guy. He lost a tiny amount of reputation during the assignement, by hurting a team mate while bursting the enemy. He didn't TK anyone. He just made a tiny mistake. Now, he can't get the reward, can't even be blamed by the NPC. And i doubt he will be able to take an easy assignement, as long as he didn't report to the heart assignement NPC.
- Minor thing, but still noticable. People under 30K can't use the heart servant to teleport within the heart floor. It can be troublesome when you are on a tight schedule to report a tough assignement. I did an SS assignement with a few newcomers. I was the only one who reported in time, because i used the servant to teleport and they had to run the whole floor. The whole point of bringing them in a tough assignement was to help them speed up their leveling/outcomes. It is useless if i am the only one rewarded.

Assignements are mostly for newcomers and poor men. They shouldn't be more screwed doing it than vet that don't no longer need those.

9/10 times when I login there is no pvp going online, this is partly because i'm gmt+13 which seems to have few players. If I can do assignments then i'll hang around for a bit, and sometime that means I am online when some pvp takes place.

thats some good point , i also think that low server population is connected to non existent content beside pvp and u can say what u want , when u average more players online i think more will go to pvp ...

I agree, we need something to do when there is no pvp or when there is a vtec swarm. I'll play farmville while TWAT and his friends die.

Definitely we'll try to focus on new content, since that's what the game desperately needs. It just seems assignments might not be the best way to do it.

It's yet too early to discuss new features concretely at this point. Active devs have worked hard this winter, but we'll need a couple of weeks to organize and finalize the new concepts. When we got a clear picture in mind, both design wise and technical side, we'll post announcements.
