FOV blocker (mostly smoke) + Hex shooting (mostly burst weapons) = OP ?
If the enemy is using this technique, you can :
1. Flank
2. Run away
3. Use your own burst weapons
Is it the be-all and end-all to every encounter ? Especially in a game where resources are determined very differently from games like CS:GO.
What do you guys think ?

Bursts hits without enemy in sight get CTH malus, not stronk enough to be OP.
-
Yes but they still suppress especially with mini guns and heavy busters, which I guess is usually the original intent.
-
its definitely one of the strongest mechanics that you can use in this game
but i dont wanna see it directly nerfed or removed because scouting, effective use of marking and team communication should be rewarded
a good/fair nerf would be highly visible tracers for burst guns or a perk that automatically places markers for you/your team if you have been bursted by someone from out of sight
-
In addition to what Vector said, I've also heard about amount of bullets hit malus from deviation from angle of burst line of fire.
Wouldn't rely on though, until properly tested....
> highly visible tracers for burst guns
+1, it's already amount of bullets dependent. But my char PE or IRL PE doesn't allow me to feel it.

this is not true , as long as the enemy is in your effective range it wont be any different if u see the target or not ... supression without any damage only kicks in between your effective and maximum weapon range .

wat are you talking about? Vector is correct, if you burst into smoke you hit with less bullets, regardless of range.

IMO yes, single shooters become useless when this happens. Bursters can CTRL burst too but will just attempt to gtfo of the bursting cone.
I think certain bursting weapons like minigun or PKS should pop out for a split second, similar to sneakers whenever they're bursting through smoke. Or as Ramon said, highly visible tracers.

What about a feature like hex shooting for singles?
eg: you choose a spot to shoot within range, and then anything in the hexes between you and your targeted area gets hit with no chance to crit. Just an idea off the top of my head, not thought-out at all
edit: just another thought, I spend a lot of time in Red Orchestra and Insurgency shooting through smoke with single shot weapons.

Each point in PE gives 10% to see a tracer per bullet.

Are you absolutely sure
