No, it is not a suggestion.
I just wanted to ask about something you have mentioned, which really concerns me.
It is the "deployable weapons" thing.
Is it still true? If so, how o you plan on implementing that or how will it work?
No need for spoilers, just wandering how would that be done.
I hope I didn't misread something. ~_~

Like what you can do with the Heavy machin gun (http://fonline-aop.net/wiki/index.php?title=Heavy_machine_guns) ?
-
you can test it ingame
-
Yep, I knew about that one, thought you also meant something more like stationary weapons which then yould be mountable after deployment.
My thinking was a little too far-sighted, sorry.
Can't test it while the server is off. :P

Can i tell him i see he is an eager one?

If you sow a ridle you can
One day on an huge port opening 3 big wawes splashed from see, twisted the world upside down, and devili lift his insgnia on beech 666

That would rather be a vehicle then. Perhaps, one day...

The dev server is currently on, but there no point going there now except for people wishing to contribute, for example on the wiki. We still don't know when we'll start the new beta phase, but it's approaching. I will write news about that in a few days (but probably still no date).
-
Aight, didn't know about the dev-server, yet I'd still prefer an open or closed beta, just as you said.
If that feature ever comes alive, fighting against other players in a defensive mode would make much more sense and the place harder to get.
Thanks for the info.

Until then, there is the cover system (http://fonline-aop.net/wiki/index.php?title=Cover_system), which is almost ready and will play its role in combat.
-
how much is that less chance to hit behind a cover?
-
At the moment it's 50 percentage points. So with 95% to hit, if you shoot somebody in cover that turns into 45%. Or if you had, say, 73% without cover, that's 23% with cover.
That value may or may not be changed in the future though.

i was concerned about deployable weapons too, it sounds very camptastic. Giving people even more of an excuse to stay in one spot, but I don't know, never played, just going by what it sounds like.

In the core there are many, many pathways. You can use the sewers, alleys, and buildings for shortcuts or ambushes. Once you play the game; you will see that mobility is a very big part of this game. The deploy system of heavy machine guns actually works quite well and adds a layer to the combat. If you jump over to the PvP videos thread, you can see when 3 heavy machine gunners stationed themselves infront of a large door way, then another player opened the door and they unleashed hell on everyone inside. (they still died to the players inside but it was a really fun and well executed maneuver).

With BG, while deployed does it cost AP to turn?
-
No, you can turn freely and you can also immediately move, without a delay. You can look at it as a buff that you need to pay a certain amount of AP for to activate it.
