Like fo2?  well GG way to ruin the game.
Instead of keeping on board with your everything is balanced philosophy lets just give in, and make everyone use the same crap, because this other crappy fonline server did it.

Why make things balanced, and nice? when we can just add tiers, and call it a day.
Good fail, good fail.  Just take a big dump on the project you've been wasting your lives working on why don't you?

I don't know if you're being serious here, but you should take care about John and Cirn0's trolliness level when they post something ;)

I think it's very clear that AoP and Fo2 don't have the same philosophy at all in term of development. And I recognize it can be a downside for some people, as we can't deliver the same amount of ingame stuff  in a certain amount of time. Quantity of random stuff thrown in AoP is close to 0, because we try to design every feature with care and make sure that it has its place in the bigger picture, to fit our vision of the game. And that's not going to change soon.

What's the problem of Legendaries? I think the feature still needs some work, but we were all really excited when coming up with that idea. Don't you like it because you feel it implies farming? Why so? Are Legendaries so mandatory in pvp?

It's yet too early to discuss new features concretely at this point. Active devs have worked hard this winter, but we'll need a couple of weeks to organize and finalize the new concepts. When we got a clear picture in mind, both design wise and technical side, we'll post announcements.

Lots of good ideas here.

Initially, the plan was to fill the original ZC maps with NPC's, being protected by the faction and providing certain services to its members. For example, Gunrunners is supposed to be a merchant place and Worehouse... be an actual whorehouse. It was postponed mainly because of the challenge it would have been to make those NPC's behaving properly considering pvp going on on these maps. Potential abuses are also problematic, such as making char in another faction to get the advantages of the zone. We also had in mind to allow factions to cooperate officially for zone capturing and share rewards, but I dunno what became of that aspect.

I agree anyway that there should be more stuff to do in the Core. Exploration is a thing - for example all the upper and underground levels of many buildings, I had planned for example to introduce a quest in RobCo to disable the laser and gain access to other levels of the facility -, but there has indeed to be more. And those things always imply potential abuses that have to be taken care of.

I always found this argument "part of fonline" particularly amazing. Just as if fonline logic made any sense at all. Most of the time, its complete bullcrap and still it seems people just get used to it until they really consider it to be part of  "lore" or whatever. Same shit with that addiction to 1 hexing.. no offense intended but imho you should just try to open your mind to some sense. Being able to dismantle your equipment instantly in the middle of a battle is hilarious and ridiculous, absolutely no single reason for that exists, it would just be worth some yt sequence with benny hill song on it. ;)

Yeah, that's because our responsible Rynn left the dev team recently. We'll have to set up some other way to gather donations, but I guess our last active team members have other things to do at this time ;)

We received more applications recently and I'll focus on answering them all and give you the necessary tools to start contributing to the project as soon as possible.

This week, this is the turn of mappers, so for everyone of you who might still be considering to apply, this is the moment to make your choice. By the end of this week there won't be any more possibility to apply for mapping.

Next week will be the turn of dialog writers.
