Yea whatever they feel would balance out the zone hopping thing, I am on board with. Having no CT in the core is nice for fleeing from those bounty hunters you didn't see around the corner, but I'd sacrifice it to balance the zone hop.

Reinstalling seems to have fixed it, but I am not positive. I will post again if this is still a problem.
Thank'ee catstevens!

That's odd because people were hardly complaining about the combat timer the first few days, and they changed it. I wouldn't say we have a bad dev team. Here is just another guy who wants it changed.

When there is no combat timer the guy who loads fastest has a clear advantage. He can freely hop out and back in zones, dodging his pursuers with ease, not even having to use walls or cover to help his escape. While ten seconds seems lengthy, half that may be ideal. My friends and I have lost several kills due to the prey loading faster. I can respect a man who escapes with skill, but not this zone hopping lameness.

Resolved bugs / [MISC] Containers
« on: September 16, 2014, 01:00:28 PM »
Hey on both my characters putting things in or taking things out of containers takes an inordinate amount of time. I can see the stopwatch waiting cursor for over five seconds, frequently. This issue doesn't seem to be a problem in the core, but anywhere else with containers I get this delay. I thought maybe I simply had too much stuff, but even on my new secondary character I get this problem. It's so slow I have started to drop my items in piles on the hexes in my room, and picking everything up then dropping it all is still faster than using containers. This issue arose about a week ago. The first week of launch it was smooth sailing.

So if that wasn't clear here is an example:

Fearvich loots 5 junk, Fearvich hurries off to his room to stash said junk.
Fearvich opens his container for crafting supplies, drags the junk over to the container window, hits all then enter.
Fearvich waits several seconds for the junk to actually move over to the container.
Fearvich cries.

Oddly, if I hit F1 while the stopwatch cursor is active, the loot will often rush on over to the container, but doing this with every pile is quite tedious. While a few second wait isn't a problem, when I have mountains of loot it takes me a very long time to drop loot off.

The perks are in there already, and I'm pretty sure the base is the south gate, but I'm not in one so want to confirm that?

Chinese hold roughly a quarter of the debt. Foreigners in total under 50%. The US has been in debt since it's founding. Why all you poles think the US will flounder soon is beyond me, but all empires fall so you could be correct. Though all this hope for an upsetting of the current balance is wild. Maybe the next leader will be better, maybe not.

Planning to reclaim your old empire does not mean you have one. Like having an empire is something to be proud of anyway? Debt, lol. Paper shield.

We're the only nation who still has an empire, and most civilians don't want an empire. But America is not led by civilians, the corporations have the wheel.

Game Tips & Guides / [Guide] Brahmin Boys Maricopa Ranch Legend
« on: September 11, 2014, 12:27:40 PM »
So you want to be a Brahmin Boy? Yippee ki-yay! You've made the right choice. We are the only Democratic society in Phoenix. We welcome dwarves, ghouls, tribals, and just plain ol' regular folk. As long as you work hard, you will be welcome in the Brahmin Boys. Our giant ranch can be confusing, but talk to the nearest tribal and he will take you to where you want to go.

Ranch Gate

Spoiler for Hiden:
1. Here is our greeter. Talk to him to get the quest for your own room.
2. The man in this building sells mostly tier 1 items, and buys most items.
3. This Brahmin Boy will give you the quests for awareness & silent running.
4. In this tent you'll find a quest about a man with a sick family seeking help.
5. The gate to our glorious "structure," Maricopa Ranch.
6. Here you will find a ghoul who literally buys everything. He also sells low-grade ammunition.
7. This guy recruits neutrals, or so he says.

Western Ranch

Spoiler for Hiden:
1. This brick building houses the lady managing the rooms, her husband who is fascinated by problem solving, and their friend who sells containers for your room.
2. Your very own room is here. None may enter except you.
3 Here lies our crafting stations and vendors. The ghoul in the north room sells crafting components, and the dwarf in the southern room will take relics from you for crafting schematics or reputation (1000)
4. As the sign states, here is our slaughterhouse and tannery. No quests or uses yet.
5. This house in occupied by a bored guard who will take books and give you caps.

Center Ranch

Spoiler for Hiden:
1. These stalls are a solid source of food, guns, armor, and ammunition.
2. Our saloon, where Brahmin Boys go to relax. A dwarf in here will buy your miscellaneous items from you, but nothing else.
3. The clinic will buy drugs and healing supplies. The clerk also sells healing supplies, radios, and steathboys.
4. This house will sell you advanced weapons, advanced crafting supplies and Brahmin Boy armor. Only after talking to Metzger after gaining 30k reputation.

Eastern Ranch & Council Building

Spoiler for Hiden:
1. Here is your first assignment giver, and main source of leveling. Assignments rank from A-F, hardest to easiest.
2. The man in power armor will give you ranger missions, from SS to B difficulty. This building requires 30k reputation to enter.
3. Our wise council. The heads of our democratic society.

Tips
1. Since I have only encountered normal damage and 2 guys with phazers in assignments, metal armor is the best armor to do assignments in. It holds the highest normal damage defenses.
2. Find a friend to do assignments with. You pull one assignment without being tagged by your ally, re-tag and do it together. Turn in your assignment, then have your friend pull an assignment while he is untagged, and repeat. This way you eliminate the 10 minute wait between assignments.
3. Food is really good. +5 healing rate for each food, capping out at 4 foods. It saved me countless times.

Please inform me of errors, suggestions, or things I have forgotten. This will be a work in progress, but after two hours I am taking a break! =p

Tell me how does selling books work in your faction?
There is a dwarf in the saloon that buys misc items for less than that ghoul.
And a human in an unoccupied house that buy books for even less than the dwarf. More like a quest though. You bring him each book and he tells you what he'll give you for it.
The ghoul is the best, but he never has caps.

It was really a call to anyone to reply, and since you fixed your guide to have pictures without your wall-hacks I shall delete the message you refer to, Mr. snippy pants. The hacks/cheats thing is more derogatory than being actual hacks or cheats. Though it is cheap! The item highlighter I will refuse to use though. It seems even more contemptible than the wall 'mod.'

Sharky - I'm not referring to shooting through walls, I was talking about not having to click around them. You would still be firing through the window, but the entire body would be clickable, instead just what you can spot through the window.

Shang - Which is why, for now, this information needs to be posted on the forums. Then removed later when you deem the wall cheat bannable. (Like right now please)

The metal chest is in the BB core entrance, around the NW side of the map, in the building with 4 bedrooms that appear to have no container.

Still waiting on a player who believes in equality to inform the world of the wall "mod".

@Hans - awesome, lol.

I can see there is a lot of understandable stigma against the wall issue. Feel free to PM me the information and I'll edit it into my original post. Keeping your reputation safe, and mine, well what reputation?! This is more of an equality thing IMO.

I do think the roof thing is not allowed though.

Nope.  They just cut out walls, roofs, etc. And those should be banned.
Should be, but are not. If you can't beat them, join them.
I'm curious if it would let me see several of the chests I have found hidden behind walls. If it does, it should be banned for giving an unfair loot advantage. Not to mention not having to click on players you can see through windows. Just go right around the window and click the texture that should be blocked by a wall.

Since wall hacks/mods/cheats are allowed, someone should post the info on how to do it here so everyone can cheat together. I thought it was just a few people, but half the screen shots I open have missing wall textures so F it gimmi dem cheats.
