General Discussions / Re: Season 3 - protest against some things
« on: September 11, 2017, 02:56:35 PM »
Goddamit! How could one protest against large maps and world map in General? That is the hallmark of the whole fallout series - the fucking Wasteland! The latest instalment of the Core map is just fine, a bit of polishing and it will shine and the huge world map could be potentially filled with just anything devs wish (no matter that their wishes can become true somewhere around 2030, it is still a possibility).

Nothing will be same again...

Instead of hand-holding better think of a decent PvE part for the game, in which players can learn all significant game mechanics.

4
Why so salty? It could be considered just a sort of welcoming: to give a new player a breath of good old wasteland, learn or remember the most basic things. Most of the things in AoP should be learned in-game and the hard way (preferably including death and equipment loss).

have u seen a naked girl for the first time in your life? or why are u braising and blaming da summer with just one line of words? its definately nat hat where im living and i dont think canada is much mare hötter.

I just know that during summer in northern hemisphere there are dozens of things better than coding shit for 20 people on single server absolutely for nothing apart from shit comments on the forum. I do agree that there are improvements and corrections to be done in AoP, but what's the point of all those themes and posts? All the suggestions were published on the forum multiple times, I'm sure that Stalker did those suggestions personally to the devteam too. And if they do not want to answer those requests right here and right now there is NO WAY to make them do it.

Definetly shitpost, but not without some bright thoughts in it
  • Bring back session 1 weapon range formula. Current one is ridiculous and just makes everyone OCD skyrocket.
  • get rid of Particle Accelerator from the Heart merchant
  • Rename V-Tec so no more fallout fanboys can come back and say "Hur dur, I'm the next Vault Dweller Hur duur"
  • Bring back assignments. Yes, majority of Fonline players are for PvE and when you remove this from them, they lose interest. Especially for AoP where assignments were the only way to get money to buy PvP gear without PvPing
  • Bring back old ZC mechanics where you need a group of 6 and start the flag.

God, it's fucking summer out there. No one would waste his time on AoP, either it fixing it or playing it extensively.

This amount of updates is mind-blowing. Really should try shotguns...

Russians and learning curve killed AoP. Again.

P.S. Reloaded was never good and will never be.

I suppose the only problem with proper progression were caused by broken crafting system and unfinished low-tier guns. Seems like devs didn't want upset the players with making them to use broken stuff.

Suggestions / Re: Remove Sandstorm
« on: May 22, 2016, 06:03:48 AM »
Or... add a tweak... you can run only when near walls, if you are not near a wall (cover) the sand will slow you down.

Ehh, isn't that so already?

And really, don't touch the storm. As the weather changing was nerfed it really does not cause real troubles.  The weather is nice in my opinion, there should be more different weather and effects should be bigger.

Well, there are some people and some somewhat active pvp, but is only a small bit bigger than it was in the end of previous season and usually takes place during working days in the evening.

oh noez you need some skill to use it and now its shit - gimper logic

Really dude? I give some some constructive criticism, and you try to start drama like a little bitch. If you want to play a game that requires SKILL, go 1v1 me on reloaded. Peace.

Ah, that's what we waited for! SKILL on RELOADED, oh man! AoP is not reloaded and your skills there are irrelevant. Your criticism is inconstructive and aggressive in nature as you demand from developers something they never promised to any player. The server is constant development, devteam dropped in tons of new things and features and they struggle to address pressing matters such as game and balance breaking bugs. The stability and comfort you ask for could be achieved only through hard work and extensive testing which you yourself call to stop. Dozens of people asked so long for the wipe and active players constantly try to keep devs informed about major bugs and balance issues, and you just want to discard all that work and progress because the current state of game does not comfort you personally. Your logics and motives are seriously flawed.

A sad thing to hear but it really has to go. I just hope that one day, after it get fixed it will return, because in nature it is a cool zone with cool idea, the only zone killing you with radiation and a fresh thing after the core.

The Lobby / Re: SPECIAL/Traits/Perks

Ramon is just too much about sneaky deployment of plasma pistols into other peoples butts. Of course if you use short range weapons and have character tough as titanium nails you don't really need PE. But it could be really useful during PVP in case you don't have a dedicated sneaker.

About INT: it would be probably a bad decision to implement a skill point effect based on it, as it would become even more unbalanced. I'm not really sure anything should be done with critical mechanics from the INT end. Maybe an impact of other characteristics should be strengthened?

Memory modules are an element of leadership system where a "leader" character grant characters in his squad different bonuses based on the modules he use, his characteristics and characteristics of his subordinates.
Currently those books are trading material for junk traders who give you money for various items such as guitars and rubber sex dolls.
Maps and encrypted holodisks are "relics". There are other items from this category. Relics could be traded in a faction base for crafting schematics.

A good call, but you'd better make sure that you will have proper opposition. Me and Hellmoi yesterday had a fine evening looting hospital, but that was definitely not as fun as pvp.
