I think it's actually pretty awesome myself when mobs just annihilate the hell out of me. You can ask STALKER, I once encountered him and his friend at Maryland Avenue and I ran out to leave the building, as soon as I was visible to the outside a group of ghouls instantly reduced me to goo. Didn't even see them until I was dead, it was sweet.

Actually, the rad rifle has far outdamagrd any other energy weapons I've used. The damage on that sucker is amazing and you'll get pretty much the same damage putout against any armor. It's an extremely viable weapon, don't know what people are talking about. Huge dps with the right setup. I was thinking maybe a small range see increase could make it more widely used, like maybe from 30 to something like 35-40

Plasma pistol is another huge favorite of mine, probably rivaling the rad rifle for me. Great adaptability and almost unlimited shots without wait.

So just a little question for all of you wastelanders out there, what is your favorite weapon as of now? What weapon has just clicked with you and stuck?

For me it has to be the rad rifle. It's an all out amazing damage dealer for practically any situation. The decreased DR trait negates most armor, and with a 55% base crit chance I can often deal damage in the 100-150 range, and even without criticals I still get nothing below 70 damage. 36-39 ap cost depending on armor provides pretty swift shots. It's only lacking in range, but that's easy to make up for by packing an extra laser rifle or just finding the opportunity to get close. Still wish it was longer, nevertheless.

So, what kind of weapon do all of you like?

We had a group of over 20 last night, a mixture of already Family and the new ex V-Tech guys. Everyone was in voice chat and organized, it was pretty awesome! I could only stay around for one zone, wish that I could of been there longer. The Family is about to have a comeback! >:3

I'll start saving up good condition guns and gear and donate them. Hell, I'll even make some If needed.

family op pls nerf

Edit: I transferred my items from V-Tech to Family by running to the Family Gate and using Sugarman to bleed to death. Ha d 40 something relics and 6k caps, logged back onto my Family character and grabbed my items. Risky, but worked awesomely.

As it is, energy weapons actually provide quite a bit of different playstyles, and all of them are quite deadly. Long range knockouts/cripples? Hell yeah, some 35~ ap aimed shots coming right up with a laser rifle. Fan of spam, eh? Plasma pistol's got you covered with 11 ap double tap spam spam spam. Literally never run out of AP if you've invested in agility. Spice that up a bit by aiming, deadly cripple machine. Rad rifle, pow, supremely high damage piercing shots that will eat through your armor in an instance!

There's many more, though those are just the weapons I've had the most experience with. You've probably caught my drift by now. Energy weapons are a vast spectrum of varying ways of play and there are many ways to utilize them. I just want a little bit of "OOMPH" added to those SMGs and I'll be happy. More weapons wouldn't be bad, though if you think energy weapons lack versatility than you may just be doing it wrong.

Dunno why people think they're weak, hell, I've gone toe to toe alone against a couple of lawyer pvp junkies with a plasma pistol and I had them on the defensive. Like I mentioned earlier, it's just the SMGs that need a little boost and things will be perfect.

If people are so eager to go out and kill other players seperate of ZC, why not juat join a smaller faction? Some factions (Family 4 lief) are quite lacking in numbers, and you'd have no problem just journeying out into the wasteland and killing off a few looters. You'd (maybe) even get a nice little fight going, too. The only reason people are arguing against this whole TK ban is because they enjoy leeching off the gear of unsuspecting players.

For punishing looters, just be patient. If you've been paying attention you should know that the ban on TKing is temporary. The reputation system is diligently being worked on by developers. Everyone just needs to be patient as they figure out a way to make things fair, a task I'm sure is far from easy.
