It seems like either people who are noobs like me are just traveling alone. Which from what I've experienced and read is not an effective way of making it through the game world. What's the best way to find a group to join and travel with?

Well honestly there is only 1 good way, make your real life friends play with you. Or just ask people in-game.

The faction chat feature can be helpful to find some people to run with or ask questions. Just don't let yourself be lured into zone control in by assholes promising it gives you xp. They just want you as meatshield. As long as you don't kill someone you get nada – and with no gear and low level you won't do much killing.

You get back to the npc you got the quest from (tribe leader) or the guy armoured in PA.

Super! What floor is that PA guy for V-Tec?

Also, how can we make a small team to achieve missions like killing Golden Geckos? If you could walk me through step by step that would be great!
