Title: New player! Needtoknows?

I'm super new, just stumbled on this today while looking for fallout4 info. I am super interested in this so what are a few things I need to know before I get started?

EDIT: To be a little more specific, I see where I need to have Fallout 2 already. Is there a specific copy I need or will any release do?

Any release of fallout 2 will do as far as I know, but I am no expert.
I downloaded mine from the internet or 10$

Cool, I plan on getting a steam copy rather than a hardcopy.

All you need it  ‘MASTER.dat’ and ‘CRITTER.dat’ for it to work.
