Title: Wipe changes?
Post by: S.T.A.L.K.E.R on July 04, 2015, 10:28:24 PM: I'm kind of curious what the future of AoP holds with the wipe. Like what's gonna be the major change and such.

From what I heard, there's gonna be a tech progression similar to FO2 and updates on what the server has or something, new weapons and armors?, 2 new factions which will be hounds and church?, something about cover and weapon Max hit chance.

Can devs give us a sneak peek :P

Why make things balanced, and nice? when we can just add tiers, and call it a day.

You should consider doing ZC as the same as playing football (or the most popular/played sport in your country). No matter if the action is messy or organized, if you win or lose, if you play with buddies or strangers, with two guys or one hundred, the point is to sweat and to have fun, nothing more, nothing less.

I don't know if you're being serious here, but you should take care about John and Cirn0's trolliness level when they post something ;)

I think it's very clear that AoP and Fo2 don't have the same philosophy at all in term of development. And I recognize it can be a downside for some people, as we can't deliver the same amount of ingame stuff in a certain amount of time. Quantity of random stuff thrown in AoP is close to 0, because we try to design every feature with care and make sure that it has its place in the bigger picture, to fit our vision of the game. And that's not going to change soon.

Post by: Doobee on July 19, 2015, 02:07:04 PM: AoP is actualy most fun of all servers. And TBH, even the most accurate post apocalyptic wasteland. Meeting people shouldnt be something you expect to happend when doing stuff (fo2, doing dungeons, you ALWAYS expect enemies).

AoP was a special snowflake in the fact that yeah there were tiers but everything was balanced and deadly in the right hands. Tier 3 didn't own everything and it was all out there to find from the get go. Even though people had Pancors and MG42s, we saw Remmys and G3s and M14s and all manner of god-knows-what people wanted to kill other players with. I don't know exactly how the new tiering and tech progression are going to work, I just hope it's vastly different from other servers and we all aren't running around doing the same crap to get more stuff/tech to kill more people.
