Hey guys, first of all I have to say that I love the game so far.
It's so different from the other Fonline server and in a very good way.
So I've been playtesting with a SG sniper build so far and Im not sure to like it that much. BG and the viable melee builds (maybe) seem more interesting to play around with. Hopefully you guys will be willing to share your expertise to a AoP beginner when it comes to building:
Big Guns:
ST 8
PE 3
EN 9
CH 1
INT 10
AG 8
LK 1
Traits: Fast shot.
Perks:Lifegiver, Bonus rate of fire, Sharpshooter, Silent Hill Death.
LG and Silent hill and Bonus RoF seemed like bread and butter for nearly any build related to big guns and I threw in sharpshooter due to my low perception. Some people may scream at the lack of Luck in my build but Int seemed like a more efficient pool stat for the purpose of crit chance. I have no idea as to what are the STR requirements for the biggest guns in the game but even the Vindicator apparently needs only a base of 7.
There was a lot of debates in the forum about the usefulness of AGI in AoP, so Im really not sure how many points i Should dump in it. Too low seemed like it would greatly hinder the AP regen as well as easy knockouts/armor bypass.
I would like to aim for fancy weapons such as DSR50 but still keep the stats flexible enough to make good use of Milkors and MGs. Eventually dump the SP overload into EWs as there seem to be quite a lot of anti-armor arsenal in that branch.
Anyhow, that is my current idea of a viable BG build.
Suggestions, friends ?

Two things:
Luck 1 is suicidal. Every hit you'll get will be a critical one and it will really hurt.
Ch 1 is generally not that good. You'll play in teams and get bonusses from your team leader depending on your charisma.
A good place to start is here:

CH 1 builds are ok to begin without team.

I'm not really sure to what extent CH affects modules and leadership bonus. What would be a reasonable amount to have as a base for any possible builds ? (excluding loner obviously)

If you have people to play with, you should go for 6-10 CH.
My preferred values are 7 and 10, although I didn't calculate output very carefully.
If you have team only occasionally, go for 2 CH or use often rerolls.
Charisma makes you less universal but more specified.

Too much ST, 6-7 is fine. Too much AG, 1 is fine, too low luck, you'll get critted by every aim shotter. Make PE at least 6-8 and 10 EN, INT is okay. Charisma varies depending if you want leadership bonuses...they're not that great anymore and IMO they're not worth it.
I suggest taking Bruiser for an extra 2 special points. Take Lifegiver, Critical Agility, Toughness, Improved Hemo something, I'd take hawkeyes instead of sharpshooter.
If you want to use DSR, then you have to have at least 9-10 PE, 10 LK, and 6 ST

Alright I managed to make a build that I can like. Thanks guys

I can vouch for the effectiveness of Matthew's build. That laser Gatling has cut me in half too many times.

2 charisma? Fur waht r u reterd?
charisma is pretty useless if you don't lead
boosts are pretty normal and helpful

2 charisma? Fur waht r u reterd?
I feel awkward of having 2 charisma on my sneaker who doesn't have gifted trait : (.

if you play in a team, low AG and high CH are better as you benefit from bonuses and have other people to back you up when your ap are low. If you dont play in a team however, then the CH is wasted while the low AG will feel cumbersome to play against npcs and a lot of other builds can out-dps you.
Aside from that, PE needs to be higher to meet the maxrange of the machine guns and also is important if youre not playing in a team all the time.

this plus i think if u ahve a leader around best way to go is put luck ag charsima in mid range u will have a good soldier but only if u play in team otherwise everything is said , leaderchars so rare these days i think only tecs do use more than one leaderchar ... law currently doesnt have any leaderchar or team and in fam well its mostly the same situation , people prefer to go with 1 charisma builds instead of some charisma which imo is a huge lost becoz like i said that boosts can give u a very good versatile soldier build if u non leader char ...

There are leader chars in Lawyers :)

Lawyers do have a team. Granted it is only around 3 to 6 people.
