okay, so, i tried using nthe heart merchants and bam! i can't use thme becuase they're bugged, reported it on the forum 2 days ago and got no response, and now i tried the full reroll and it's not working and i'm stuck on a dialog screen for the res tof my character's life
am i really just THAT unlucky?

This is a beta server (like most Fonline server)
Which mean they are still remaining bugs, especially after dev implement new features (which happened recently and happen quite often)
Also, the game is free and those who work on it aren't paid, so we shouldn't expect perfection.
Although i think there far less bugs than some AAA games that you pay 60$.
Still, don't hesitate to use the bug report section. It will help the dev to notice the bugs that bother you and they will fix them quicker.
Consider yourself as a player AND a beta tester, here to help the dev notice bugs and balance issues, while still having fun playing the half-finished game. (maybe more than half, but still, it is not complete yet)

it works now for some reason, also, aobut that, you DO need a copy of fallout 2 to play this so it's not really free

So it free for Fallout 2 owners, which is more likely to be the case of people interested in AOP, since Fallout 2 was released two decades earlier, it very unlikely that people don't have it already. They had plenty of time to buy it one way or another.
