I think that introducing a control scheme where hex shooting is used by default and therefore area of effect / spread cone showed just after you press A - could be very user-friendly.
-
Sure
-
Could you be more specific ?
-
he means that pressing A will be same like u would press left controll + A
-
Ok, but why should it be default ? Could it be another shooting mode like single/burst toggle ?

Nassaone u ever used left controll + A with a burst weapon ?
If u use it u will see spread area plus u can shoot in the air with it or on specific areas ...
Im against this , because if it would be on by default it could hurt your eyez , atleast for me ... i dont wanna see that highlighted area of spread all the time im using aburst weapon ...
maybe make some option in config file where u can turn it on/ff by default like with TB and RT or both modes on other servers ...
-
Same here I prefer that it stays as it is now, maybe an option in config file or another shooting mode sure :)

You already explained it on first post.
My question is : Why put in on default while it could be added in the weapon modes in the interface ? (like burst/single/reload)
So even noobs would be aware of this and people would have the choice between shooting a target and shooting an area.

It's fine as it is.
From what I've seen the hex shooting isn't 100% reliable - even if you have a target in the cone (and highlighted) by the time you shoot (animation, +261ms human reaction time, +400ms server round trip time) the target may not be in the hex you was shooting at.
With the default shooting - if you click on a target, then the target gets shot at even if he/she/it is on a different hex when the bullets hit (not talking about when the target moves out of sight).
The mode option is also bad.
Did any of you shoot big guns a lot? Most have full auto, burst and reload mods another mode will just add even more chaos finding that damn 'n' key on the keyboard.
