Hello folks, sorry for my english, im not really angloparlant, and i dont want use google traslator :(
Im writting this because i found a problem, or meaby is something that i dont understand and this is:
I have created a new char, Name Ayra Stark, with specials 5 7 5 1 5 10 8, traits finesse and small frame.
The problem is that when i try shoot aimed, the weapon range desspear and my chance of hit turn like if i was blind (really, i need stay in the nearest hex of the target to hit with 95%)
Wath i try?
- I checked and its not a problem of strenght, perception or "blinded" status. Im prefectly.
- I tryed with others chars and i dont have the same problem.
- I downloaded and updated the game from 0, and the problem isnt solved.
Here are 2 screenshots, if u could help me i will be happy. (and sorry my english again)
-
I forget say that i posted this here because i belive the problem is for the finesse trait
-
What is your weapon skill %?
-
133% Sir...
I dont post that information because i have used aimed shots with less % on my others chars, so it cant be the problem (unless some changelog change that and i didnt notice)
-
I believe it is concerning weapon skill. But I will check the code.
-
Ok, sorry for the extra work. I really hate disturb and timewasting the creators of one of the best online games ever existed ;)
But even if is a skill problem, the weapon range must stay in the screen (yeah, my chances to hit must be 3% too :p ) not disspear from it. No?
-
The white line is where you have 95% chance to hit. ( 90% if you have Fast shot ).
-
I know that, sir. But why its disspear when i try aim?. And why that happen why only this char (Ayra Stark)?. I'm really convinced that is a problem with the finesse trait, wich is the only thing different in this char.
-
just the games way of telling you not to take finesse
one of the worst things you can do to a character
cirn0 rework ples

Aim has a penalty to chance to hit.
If you can't shoot with 95% further than 1 hex, you won't see white line, because it shows 1 hex less.
So if you can shoot at 5 with 95%, it will be shown at 4 I believe.

Man, there is no reason to the white line disspear when i aim. When i try use weapons witout aim its work normal, both line and hit chances

Well you have 133% weapon skill. Don't expect to do an aimed shot to eyes/head/groin till you get at least 175% with a decent range.

Reason is the math. Apply calculate your hitchance and you'll understand.
