Title: R in Reload weapon mode changes the mode for attacking one
Post by: paragon on October 30, 2014, 06:17:59 AM
Along with ability to turn off Reload mode of the weapon would be cool to have ability to change weapon to attack mode if you press R in Reload mode.

I think I'm not the only one who got owned trying to fire a gun set to reload. I for one wouldn't miss the reload mode at all.

Yeah, we discussed it and some said that need it.
So ability to turn it off (skip it) will work for everyone, but it's another suggestion thread.

I dont quite get what this thread is about. While there might still be room for improvement, we changed a couple of quirks with the weaponbox to solve such issues. Reloading wiht R should always return you to the firemode you were on before. Unless youre spamming it or manually reload it there shouldnt be any issue. Nothing you couldnt get used to.

We considered getting rid of reload completly, which I am idneed in favor of, but then the reload cost wouldnt be displayed. I think if reload is displayed in the inventory currently, it wouldnt show the modified cost from perks or traits, which is quite common.

One thing that really pisse dme off on 2238 was changing the weapon mode with the mousewheel while over the box, which happened constantly while I was zooming in and out but we got rid of that.

You gun is fully loaded but chosen mode is "Reload".
You press A and it doesn't shoot.
You press R and it doesn't reload. (so doesn't change reload mode as well)
How about pressing R will change mode even if it's reloaded?
(If not pressing A makes attack mode instead of Reload)

Let us be able to skip the mode as a dedicated settings! Experienced players don't really care about reload cost AP as they know what is it about

yeah the point is though there is no situation where the gun would actually have to be on reload in the first place. and I was playing alot with assault rifles as well and different weapons and aop really taught me to use N and B keys properly.

Funny thing on fo2 I always own myself wiht grease gun because of aimed mode being a separate mode still and the weapon modes being in different orders. I think it also doesnt remember your last firemode after reloading but switches back to first one btu I might be mistaken there.

Anyway, this whole thing already is pretty convenient so be grateful for what you have! :D
