It has come to my attention of how much better the doctor skill is compared to the first aid skill. For example:
Doctor skill can:
-stop extreme bleeding
-heals the same amount as 175 FA
-takes half as much ap to use compared an untagged doctor(100 doc vs 200 doc)
-use the manual defib
First aid skill can:
-heal 25+ more hp than 200 doctor
Can anyone convince me to tag the first aid skill rather than the doctor skill? I'm about to ~deleteself my character for the sake of the doctor skill.

AFAIK FA gives you item perks for med-kits, but I could be extremely wrong.

You are absolutely right, but so does the doctor bag (I only have 195 doc so if someone could tell me the 5th doctor bag perk that would be great)

Hum Ive always thought that FA was for recovering HP and Doctor for restoring crippled limbs.
Without the FA or Doctors Kits that is.

Yeah but bleedover mechanic allows you to pretty much ignore one of the skills, and since raising FA doesn't lower the ap cost, but doctor does, it's supreme.

I believe there is no "fifth" perk on the medical items, 175 unlocks the last one.
I would go first aid man, you can't heal yourself with doc unless you have serious injury, and even then you only really need 100 doc to heal your busted limbs etc.
First aid is about 3 times as good as doc in reality.

BLEEEDOVERRRRRRRRRRRR
Just FA yourself with 200 doc, what's the problem?

True, the bleedover isn't 100% though right? So for healing purposes you'd be better off going FA as a main, and doccing yourself if needed.
The main reason for doctor that I can see is defibbing your friends and removing profuse bleeding as most people can heal their own broken limbs.
I have doc tagged and at 194 but rarely use it compared to FA.

@mAdman I hope you're not serious, look at the first post.
With 200% doc you'll have 150% FA (unless you pick a "medicinae doctor" and fix this), which means that you will heal 50hp less per heal, right? There is a huge BUT, the bandaged status. It will apply as a 1% per each 3hp healed (unless faith healer, where it'll be each 6hp), so in the end it won't even help that much, while reducing AP cost on doctor will save your life more than enough times, because you won't be standing right in the open after trying to fix your broken leg.

You sure? I think it's 175%

To be honest I had forgotten about bleedover until you mentioned it, but by the wording in the post I though he meant healing done when using doctor on yourself or others (which is minimal to none without perks) I didn't realize he was referring to using FA with just bleedover from high doc.
My mistake :)

there is a 5th perk you scrub.it will be trauma surgery
I'll add kits to wiki soon.
Also you should tag fa and put a field kit in your utility. I'm not sure if you want for yourself or being a medic but you can always raise doctor to 150 (I tagged fa and have 200 of it and 150 doc)

I just healed myself for 121 with 195% doc, its definitely a 175% bleedover.
