Title: Weighing up perk options; Hawkeye vs Watchtower

So hawkeye would technically allow you to see sneakers from further away, while watchtower gives front sight radius to side sight radius, so while both are good and in combination with each other even better, but if forced to choose, which is the more practical in reality.

It would be nice to also know exactly how much watchtower increases potential forward view by compared to what it was, is it like 50% more? 100%? Does side view extend  180 degrees or more or less?

Hawk eyes only gives you 2pe for the purpose of determining sight range, so no better detection of sneakers. However that 2pe gives you like 7-8 hex increase in your sight range depending on your base pe, so its great for 5 or less pe builds

Oh? I heard differently, but if that is true my comparison is moot.

EDIT; because it adds the 2 pe to sight range and sight range is used to detect sneakers? or is it just off your base perception that you detect sneakers? Hmm damn my failure to retain information.

RE-EDIT; "Detection Range = (Sight Range)*(1 - 0.2*{(Sneak - 50)/50 + Angle})"

So effective sight range gained from hawkeye should technically allow you to spot from further, as with foureyes and scopes in general.

Noone wants to/knows the answer?

This is a hard choice for me, and a rather critical one too. Hawkeye SEEMS to be the better choice, giving vision range both counters sneakers and is useful in general but with 10 pe is hawkeye necessary or would watchtower be a better investment in general?

And with that detection range formula, what would be my detection range be with 79 sight range and 190 stealth? Side front and back?

LoL I didn't believe that anyway.

I ended up dropping a different perk (living anatomy) to get both of these perks anyway. Though I think if forced to choose, I would go with hawkeyes with 9 or lower perception and watchtower with 10.
