(removed my post >.< oops)
I get that there are only so many target points, but shouldnt center mass shots be almost as deadly as head shots?
In terms of the game I think (opinion obviously) that groin shot could be removed and replaced with chest shots as an actual target (or even heart), as funny as groin shots are, perhaps that should take up the "unaimed" or "untargeted" shot slot.
Chest or heart shots could have very high bleeding effects (internal bleeding) winding and the generic knockdown attached to them, making it a very tempting target.

imply most armor is there.
-
True, but the other parts of the body are still armored also, (groin in particular i would think :D ) and there is surely gaps in kevlar, also armor piercing rounds, armor deterioration etc to consider.
Discussion on? Or ended?
You decide :P

Radiation caused everyone to have really thick chests, and rib cages.
No but seriously, torso shots take less AP, so you could do more damage that way, when just going for the kill I torso spam.

groin shot have to stay, if you want replace shot replace eye shoot. think of groin shoot as pelvis shoot. protips: if someone is come at you in real life with plate carrier (like usa marine hoooooah)shot for pelvis. as is second biggest part of body (with many movment joints so hard to armor) and any hit shatter pelvic bone and cause full collapse of person. which is what happens in game (knockdown).

Is your groin armored enough to stop a .50 round?
A center of mass is the most intuitive area to draw a bead on, especially talking about moving targets. No surprize it's the most armored one too.

Is any armor in reality enough to stop a .50 cal round? If so I'd like to invest in the company producing it ;).
I understand that it would be the most armored likely, but I don't see it being much more armored than any other locations (i mean we are talking back and sides too, not just front chest). Perhaps it could have the least bonus damage (for an aimed shot) because of this, but its potential crit list could make up for the lack of damage, with high bleeds, winding, knock back, knockdown and decent bypass, or it could have better bonus damage but only the potential to do very small armor bypasses only.
I also just like the idea of an "unaimed" shot being random where it hits and what effects it has, instead of always chest.

there are a lot of situations where torsoshooting is more powerful than aiming. I dont see why we should get rid of that. It's one of the unique points of aop as well.

That's a fairer response I believe, I can't fault you guys for design really at all, at the end of the day it is just a suggestion and I am happy to have someone in the dev team tell me no for reasons like that.
Discussion officially over :)
