Post by: AnthraxX on September 13, 2014, 07:45:32 AM
Can you guys tell me, what is the best way to increase eng? Im craftin a lot of things but it seems only science goes up, science 104 eng 88

Craft super sledgies or magneto-laser pistols, or even spears.

Random chance to raise either science or engi.

Imo engi is way too random. If Wiki is right, its 1-50% chance to get a point.
I listened to the guy here saying craft magneto laser pistols. I crafted 35 laser pistols, then 35 Magnetos. 1 Engi point. ONE.
After that I spent ressources of at least 2 days of scavenging I horded, crafting all kind of stuff, armors, weapons etc. Another 2 points for like 1000 scraps/metal/etc.

There just has to be some easier way, cant imagine how people reached 200 or even 300 without some kind of abuse. Someone told me Sharpened Poles is the way to go (2 wood for 1), but after creating about 200 poles, all I got is some science points.

Repair t2 armours if your skill is higher than 120%

Good Tip, another 1050 Magnetos and Im at 120%...
Since Wiki says the chance for a skill point is 1-50%, I should have gotten like 8-9 points on 35 Magento crafts, but seing I only got one point I assume I got bad luck with the variance of 1-50%.

My question again, why is this so random? Why not have it be a plain 10 or 25% chance? Instead you can be unlucky and get 1 point on 100 crafts and another rather lucky guy gets 50 on 100 tries. Just doesnt seem to make sense.

Wiki may easily be outdated on those chances, I've gotta ask someone to be sure and give you a precise answer. Just craft supersledges then.

I wonder why it raises by chances at all and not just steadily increases with every skill use. As if FOnline wasn't enough of a game of chances already. :-\

Yesterday, i repaired my Ben Gun 4 times, then i saw my Engineer is 86 up to 88 O_O and Science up 1, then i crafted 6 Ben Gun, i saw my Engineer up 89, so i think you can raise Engineer skill fast by repaired Gun Tier 2 or Tier 3  ;D

...And i'm sorry for my bad English languages  :o ....

Oil is the only reason that the repairing is expensive, nothing else.

Yes and thats why generally I believe most players have a lower engineeering than science skill.

I only repair if its worth it. The oil / kevlar are only worth it for high lvl armors.

Its odd bevause i made 8 super sledges and it increased my engibeering by 1 and science by 2. I thought it would only go to engineering.

It needs a buff, this is out of control! I disassembled 15 ak's with my new account (85% science). I get no skillpoint at all! And repair should be more cheaper. Why everything needs that oil/kevlar class stuff? and why 2 OF THEM?? leather jackets should need 1 or a half! it raises % so slow. waste 20 kevlar worth 1000 to repair a CA instead of buying a new for 325? (edit: its not 325 anymore, it become cheaper!) I know i shouldnt repair shitty things, and I usually don't do. But how else to raise a skill then? :o
i go level 24 + have all schematics faster than i reach 100 enginering / science. And 100 is not high number at all, i need 120 req for a lot of things. Whats the point of this slowness?
