Title: Reload.
Post by: Hang-Lip on September 12, 2014, 11:17:08 PM
Does anyone actually use the reload mode on the gun?
I find it gets in the way of combat whilst changing firing modes.
I assume we all use 'R'.

I suggest to remove it.

-1, doesn't get that much in the way unless you spam right click or N

Mainly just mistakenly pressing n instead of b, and not realising till im half dead.

It really would be better. would make mode changing faster, and not having to cycle past useless option.

+1.
Also if there's possibility to have shortcuts to every fire mode, it would be cool.

unless you spam right click or N

what does cycling through attack walk, get, icons have to do with it.
Also why would you be spamming N?

Turn on your own brain before reading and answering topics.
This suggestion is about GUI, not about game mechanics.

I also believe that only experienced players use shortcuts. Many newcomers might not even know that they could use shortcuts. Beside that, i don't support a stripped interface. IMO, interface should allow you to use everything. At last, there are some player that only want (or can) to use the mouse and nothing else.

Ability to turn it off solves all problem you're talking about

Well, i feel that not only for the convenience of it, but would also help the fluidity of PvP for those that do use shortcuts.
Like being able to react quicker with desired firing mode.

Exact same story as with auto-aiming, guys.
It's not turn base anymore. You need to act in real time.
We have fast buttons for aiming, fast changing of fire mode is the same feature.

So i assume u click gun icon to attack, and while in combat u bring up skilldex to use FA or Doc, while in combat you open INV to use stims.......

An option to disable it sounds good to me. It should probably be turned on by default though.
