I think it should be possible for gang to invade another's HQ, but with limitations. It could work like this:
- to start invasaion, gang members go to an npc, they must have very high reputation to talk to the NPC If there's enough high-rep members by NPC, he will lead them to the chosen enemy HQ and make them enter.
- there will be timeout so hq invasion can only occur maximum once per week.
- once gang members enter enemy HQ, if they leave or die they cannot return
- all NPC guards in HQ will immediately head to entrance to kill invaders
- if gang members kill all npc guards in HQ they get big xp bonus, and maybe caps from that same NPC once the gang members return to their HQ
-
I think devs thought of it , but it should come at later stage of development.

Would have to be well thought out to stop abuse, last thing we need is a large group of over equipped Players rampaging through a faction HQ before anyone can react.

Perhaps once NPC beings taking a group to enemy base, a faction message for those being invaded that says "Scouts report gang x is headed to our HQ! Time before arrival: 10 minutes" or something
-
A reasonable warning is probably the best way to do this.

I like it. Hope to emulate some sort of Normandy beach landing.

Not necessary on that scale, but i think it would be nice to have some attacks.
I noticed that in the outside area of the HQ, there are some patrol of green npc that appear, walk through the map and leave.
It could be nice to have sometimes, hostile enemies spawning with the same intent. Of course, the guard would make short work of them, but it would increase the feeling that the outside world is not safe and that the HQ should be protected everyday. Now, it feels like the guard do nothing, because there is nothing to protect from.
