Hoarder Perk and Changing factions

If I was going to switch factions, and I happened to have the hoarder perk, would it be a viable option to hamster literally everything in my base and drop in in a law base when the name gets cleared? I've made a trip to the core with ridiculous amounts of weight, wondering if it works for faction switching.

if you are changing faction, ask a GM, just to be safe.
