I think that armor and weapon could be damaged if its owner are killed even with normal death animation. Also ammo and drugs count on the corpse could be reduced. The idea is that u cant kill the enemy and use his gear immediately. Just after repearing it on base.

Damage is taken to armors upon normal death. Its called armor condition deterioration. It happens every time you're shot, or otherwise take damage.

And then the armor quality deteriorates as you repair it.

And then the armor quality deteriorates as you repair it.
I mean serious damage like 30-50% or more according item quality and taken last damage.(If u were killed by poison it could be 0% and if by critical blow - 50% or more)

i think i would be nice IF upon a crit death there is a CHANCE that ONLY the armor could be destroyed

if its a go ahead I would say 100% armor destruction in goo death, fire dance.

And like you say a chance that only the amour is destroyed for other crit deaths.

I was going to suggest it be 100% armor destruction and a chance that other random pieces of gear be destroyed.

For example:

Loadout:
 
X1 CAMKIII
X1 Combat Shotgun
X50 Slugs
X5 Concussion Nades
X5 Smoke Nades
X5 Super Stimms
X2 Epi Pens
X1 Buffout
X1 Ripper
X1 FA kit

After Crit Death:

X1 Combat Shotgun
X37 Slugs
X3 Smoke Nades
X5 Super Stimms
X1 Epi Pen
X1 Buffout
X1 FA Kit

I would just be arguing with myself if I made that suggestion though....

I would apply this to all weapon damage types then. Similar to DayZ (I'm not saying thats a good game by any measure) but the idea of some stuff being ruined due to being shot has its allures.

-1 To the destruction of all gear upon crit death.

+1 To only armor being destroyed upon certain crit deaths. e.g goo death.

Having every piece of gear someone has brought to ZC destroyed is nonsense. People take thousands of caps worth of gear. To have all of that lost because you were turned into a pile of goo by natures peace for example, is just toooo much. Destroy the armor, or have its quality & or condition go down dramatically. But not destroyed entirely.

Having everything destroyed would lead to QQ & RQ (Sugarman knows we got enough of that already)

Also -1 to having it spread around when blown up....Please, no

Imagine Staugler comes to ZC with 2.5k worth of gear. upon entering the zone he is melted instantly by my, clearly superior play style.
Thats 2.5k worth of gear that is just, gone.

Now imagine Stalker again enters wth 2.5k worth of gear and doesn't die instantly. Instead he kills 2-3 players and obtains their gear. now he's holding 6.5k worth of gear. Now  on his way back to base he happens to die in a crit death. That's now 6.5k just, gone.

I just cant see it serving any real purpose. It adds nothing but rage imo.

why me tho
