Excellent, thank you. Once I get a better PC, I will definitely join up. By the way, do you know the minimum system requirements for running the game?

Hey man, you can play this in like oldest pc you can get your hands on, it has system requirements of fallout 2 probably.
Oh really? Heck yeah! I have the file in my dropbox for the dudes I'm bringing, so I'll download it and get on. Anything I should know as I'm starting the game?

1. You lose items, then you rage, then you start suggesting nerfs on forum.

Do those items dissipate, or are they dropped in the place where you are killed? I'm asking because then a friend can go and pick them up right after I'm killed or something, and return them to me.

Some dude wants to join the game, and he has a lot of influence on other Fallout fans on a website. I want to invite him in, because  that would make the game gain a bunch of people, but he had these questions:

1. What happens if you get killed?
2. Do you need to invite people in the game or is open world where everyone is on the same servers?
3. How do I get my hands on Power Armor?

your password can be anything as long as you remember it and also im a brony:]
 do not judge meh
How the heck is that related to the topic, keep your fetishes to yourself and stop flashing them.

Your username is your character's name. Your password is your password to that character. Each character is a different account.
Thanks for the help. I'm definitely looking forward to the game, and I've brought some friends over!

Also, to the brony guy.. what the heck, man.

What's my password supposed to be?
I surmise that my username will be the character's name?
Sorry I'm asking what may be dumb questions, right now I haven't been able to finish updating the game :/

So, one last request. When I try to login or press play, it says the login is invalid.
I can go ahead to the character creation, but shouldn't I log in first?

You don't need fallout.dat
I didn't find the MASTER.dat or CRITTERS.dat anywhere, so I used fallout.dat

Thanks for the help, everyone!

I managed to do it, thanks guys.
However, the game refuses to get on fullscreen, or to even let me see its toolbar. The text is too small and I need to squint to see it, is that normal?

I managed to get Fallout.dat, but I don't know where to put it. Some guy in that response thread said it was an ok replacement for the MASTER.dat and CRITTER.dat, but I don't know where it's supposed to go since DataFiles.cfg won't open and won't allow a file to be put inside.

I think the only way to get the critter.dat and master.dat files is to have a copy of fallout 2 and take the files from the game and drag them to your aof folder

Where is the fallout.dat file? I don't see it in the AoP folder, nor in the data or zip files...

Hello, welcome on AoP! Have a look over there:

I uh...

don't have the files I need. Do you know where I can find them? I don't have a credit card, or else I might consider buying Fallout 2...

So I just downloaded this game, and I clicked on FOnline.exe. It notified me that I don't have MASTER.dat or CRITTER.dat, but still went on to the main screen. I tried to click on the game button, but the cursor didn't even show up. It shows up outside of the window, but when I place it back on the game window, it disappears.
I'm not sure what's going on, nor where I can get the files I'm missing. Somebody told me that the game itself came with the files I needed and there was no need to get Fallout 2, but then that thread got deleted.
I want to try this game out but there's too much confusion. Please help!

Some guys told me that the devs included a game file in the download that meant you don't need Fallout 2.
Were they wrong?

Where are these two files? I don't have Fallout 2 so I'd like to know where I can get them.
