You seem to mix up faction base and platoon base.
Platoon base isn't the actual faction base. The actual faction base is the faction base, while the platoon base is the actual platoon base.

I just visited all the factions (except V-Tec) and took a peak at their bases. The Lawyers is by far the worst (sorry faopcurious) looks real ugly imo, the music is really weird, the feels like your living in a spaceship. The Family's by far looks the coolest, lots of variation here, reminds me of New Vegas, although the base itself is quite crammed and feels like someone just through a bunch of beds, crates, lockers etc... in a office building. The Brahmin Boy's base I have actually owned one so I know a little more about it than I do the others, its pretty large, annoying to get to because of the distance it is from everything, you feel like a true farmer, again the lockers and crates and what not feel random and that they shoudn't be in that location.

I'd have to say the Family's base is the best so far, dark atmosphere, interesting NPC's but above all feels most like Fallout...

and as for ZC, factionless players should have absolutely nothing to do with that oncesoever, imo the I went factionless is to survive in the core collecting/hoarding stuff then selling them at the gates of factions.

All your own opinion about being factionless. Me and a few other factionless have actually participated in ZC a few times, and it was a really awesome experience. We were basically working as Mercs, and we got paid to help. The way I see it, one of the goals of factionless should be to regulate the core hahaha.  When we weren't being mercs, we just looked for any ZC happening and crashed the party. We were basically acting as the "Gaia" force in the core. Protect the Core's precious secrets!


On another note though, we should meet up sometime in game. Message me about my factionless char and we'll set something up.
Thats actually sounds really fun! :D I'll senbd you a PM right away!

What about creating a new faction that can't ZC ?

You would have storage, crafting, faction chat etc...
... And a specific color, that won't be mistaken with technical factionless. (those who are in the process of changing faction)
I don't see that happening, the whole point of factions is to do ZC

i would not add add lockers cuz it buffs factionless playing but i would add crafting table in core in Hospital so they can craft stuff
I like the idea of having a crafting table outside the room somewhere, but not right beside it, maybe on the other side of the hospital.

IMO, not storing items is part of the point of being factionless.
If you have storage/crafting/ZC, what would be the difference with factions ?
because I would at least like to store my caps for starters, and also some of the more important things I find out there which I can eventually sell to players of the other factions.

Animal Friend - animals such as wolves, rats, mantis's, geckos etc... won't attack the player, although deathclaws, wanamingos and some of the nastier animals are not affected by this trait

Here are some ideas I have come up with about this feature:

I don't really think you'll have to worry about camping, the sewer varmits sorta act as the patrols do for factions. As for location, somewhere in the center of the map preferably (maybe in the sewer under warmart). The room will only be accessible by factionless players though. Seeing how they are so close to warmart, the stuff there will prob often be farmed by them giving the other factions a reason to trade with them seeing how a lot of caps can be made selling junk at a factions HQ.

Another idea would be to add a manhole in (or maybe just outside) the hospital, that way the factionless players are sort of protected by the more powerful enemies that are there. The manhole will bring you directly to the room which will only be accessible by factionless players.

The room can be acquired whenever the player is not currently in a faction (maybe even make a quest)

The room itself can consist of just a small space with a pile of hay (acting as a bed) and two containers (locker etc...)

Down the road, will this game have at very least just one room with a couple of containers somewhere in the sewers so that us factionless players can use to store stuff? Hopefully this hasn't been discussed already...
