I read all sneak changes propositions before changing it and STALKER's one seemed not really useful (its partially outdated and overall lacks conceptual depth).

I asked STALKER, Courier, Niamak, Ramon on IRC and Piggy/Clochard/Hellmai in TS on their opinions on sneak changes and STALKER/Courier werent willing to give me any more or less structured feedback so now if I need feedback from dedicated sneaker I ask Niamak/Ramon who gave me quite alot feedback already.

Okay........First mistake: Asking for RAMON'S opinion, of all available people he is the biggest troll. All he cares for is killing people using OP sneaks, so yeah....DONT listen to him lol.

Secondly, just because 1-2 of your friends want you to do things one way, does not mean the rest of us are okay with it. There was a poll about sneakers....80% want them as Recon, not ninja assasins. Stalker and myself have made very detailed posts about just WHY the sneaks are killing the game. If you fail to understand them.....

Thirdly: ''conceptual depth'' Havent you ever heard that the simpler it is, the better? Why need to overly complicate things? The sneak detection forumla is totally fubar, you base it on people having 130 sight range, when 10 PE gives only 71+16=87 for x8 scope +8? for hawk eyes =95 sight range. Max i ever managed to have. Maybe 103 if i had four eyes, and then im blind on the sides......

Fourthly: Changes like: Sneak detection range +25% and in the same patch war-time bonus from +15% to +40%........I mean...are you TRYING to negate your own changes as soon as you make them? Did you even test it? On my sniper, i can watch a 20 tiles long alley....only way people can shoot me is from straight in front of me.....and sneaks still manage to walk in my face, make a line and all pop-up and insta-kill me.....that's just bullshit.

Fact: only time people are playing and having fun, is when there are no sneakers. People dont even bother to try chassing the sneaks either, they get backstabbed lose a guy and go: Don't bother, it's a sneak you'l never find him.

P.S. Needler is still OP as fuck: insane fire rate, poison, high damages, de-buffed then re-buffed range....

Right, cause im playing a sniper and not a sneak-assasin.......i wonder how you'd feel like if it was reverted......YOU try being a sniper in a world or sneakers. ::)

You should know there is something wrong when 1/2 the server are playing sneakers. And that detection formula?......worthless. With 10 PE sneakers walk right in my face and appear at around 20 hexes. I cover a fricking alleyway, there is only 24 hexes bewteen me and the next wall and they STILL manage to appear in my face, KO me and game over.

An admin could make a vid of current ''PVP'' and it would be a bunch of sneaks walking around looking for one another, probably wandering about 30 hexes from one another and never seeing jack shit. I think i'd rather go back to one hex dancing on fo2 than endure this bullshit much longer.

They will probably lose if they come face to face true. But the problem with sneak-snipers is they can just position themselves in front of your snipers....focus fire and KO them one at a time. As a result, more toilet control instead of real fights, otherwise you get picked off by invisible ninjas. It was already good that there is 95 range guns, the people using them didnt need to be invisible.

I've played a little bit yesterday and wtf is the point of sneaking now. Half of each teams were playing sneakers with some pistols but majority were snipers. Is this what s1man wanted? This is worst than FOnline 2.

Yesterday our sneakers couldn't even scout for some reason...probably the shit detection formula now.

Well THAT, i totally said it: Should i be a SG sniper that spots people at 130 hex and be seen at 130 hexes too. Or should i be a Heavy sneaker BG sniper that spots people at 130 hexes, but only gets spotted himself at 60? hmmmm tough descision......

People who play snipers have 0 reasons NOT to be sneakers. It's just totally messed-up. Heck everyone else should be sneakers too, otherwise they get spotted first by ennemy sniper-sneaks.....So everyone SHOULD be sneakers, that way noone sees anyone first, everyone gets shot at 60 hex no more no less, and then we are at the point where it's a fair fight......We could have been there already by just NOT having sneakers, but...sneakers man!

Also -30 to sneak skill for being in bluesuit and -0 for wearing a MA or CA?  ??? Like...really? I sneak better in a bulky ninja-turle suit...than in my pyjammas?

Why don't you remove snekers completelly or limit them to battlecam status. I seriously don't understand why you don't cure cancer if you have all instruments for that. The one and only good stealth is in Dota 2 with tons of sneak-tracking devices available - here I don't even see a point of having them, game doesn't need sneakers in any of proposed systems.

Indeed, i agree that we could have done without the sneakers to be honest. You guys removed stealing, that was a great idea...You could have gone even further and remove sneakers alltogheter. It dosent really ADD anything to the game.....it just breaks it and defeat it's purpose. But if you DO want sneakers....make them recon lol.

(Sneakers used to get their kick from hiding and spying on ennemies, giving info and generally playing smart to outmanoeuver ennemy forces while remaining unseen. Now it's just used as a cheap way to murder people, while not getting spotted early.)

Pretty sure all the quest givers were removed along with the assignments. The ones left are pretty useless: Quest for awareness....(we all start with it now) And minor junk turn-in quests for 50 caps etc.

what for u need transfering caps into currency lel... whole idea was to make caps useless crossfactionwiseso people dont switch teams that easy.

whole economy design wud need to be redesigned to give it some good feeling, atm its just broken and i can see why this idea is popping up, under current circumstances its not a bad idea but i would just get rid of faction currency in current state anyway and just make everything vendorwise buyable with caps also...

Well, we used to be able to get faction money by doing assignments. That was a decent alternative for getting ready to pvp when player count rised.

As for the faction switching thing: That's why there could be a lower exchange rate. Also, once you got the faction money, it's useless to you if you switch faction. You should be able to trade caps for faction money, but not the other way around either.

@Stalker: To be fair, latest sneak patch wasnt THAT bad. Altough i clearly would have prefered a world where you cannot sneak wearing a *Bulky* Or *Stonewall* Armor...(Seriously, that will never make sense to me lol) At least now you get a cooldown to re-sneak and sneak-debuffs etc.

@Devs: Ultimatly....Stalker IS right (imo).....Sneakers should only be able to 1v1 other sneakers and need to gang up on pvp apes. It seems like your trying to do just that with this last patch, but it would have been so much easier and simpler to just say: Sneaker cant wear CA's and Metal or sneak with non-sneak weapons. Problem solved, sneaker will not ruin the game.......Instead your making this into some sort of mathematical enigma, wich is mostly puzzling for casual players.

It would be nice to have npc's inside faction HQs to wich we can exchange caps for faction money for a certain exchange rate: I.E. 2 caps for one lawyer bill or whatever rate feels apropriate.

Reasons: Only way to get faction cash right now is trough pvp, and only (decent) way to get good gear is buying it from heart vendor who only accepts faction cash. No money->no good gear->keep losing in pvp->No money.

When there is no pvp going on, people could still scavenge and sell to vendors, then trade caps for faction cash to prepare for pvp. Scavenge-> sell for caps->trade for faction cash at X exhange rate->buy pvp gear-> Fun!

Does it actually work tho? Last time i tried swapping the scopes on a DSR-50 there was absolutly no diference between having a x8 scope, or no scope at all. Range remained the same and sight range too. It also never mentions any scoped perks.

Does that include all the skill mods? I.E. heavy sneaker carrying too much weight and falls to 99% sneak, will he de-sneak automatically?

- reduced weight from 2000g to 850g;
- reduced all ammo weight from 45g to 5g;
- removed Field Inhibitor trait (wasnt working anyways).

PP19 Silenced
- increased damage from 13-18 to 18-23;
- increased single mode AP cost from 15 to 18;
- increased burst AP cost from 20 to 24;
- increased reload AP cost from 20 to 65;
- reveal time set to 800 ms;
- changed perks to: Bonus rate of fire, Slayer, Hit the Gaps, Bonus ranged damage, Finisher;
- range set to 30 on both modes;
- rounds shot set to 5.

Skorpion Evo Silenced:
- increased damage from 13-18 to 15-20;
- increased single mode AP cost from 15 to 18;
- increased burst AP cost from 20 to 24;
- increased reload AP cost from 20 to 40;
- reveal time set to 800 ms;
- changed perks to: Slayer, Bonus ranged damage, Bonus ranged damage, Slayer, Hit the Gaps;

This is from last update. Bunch of sneaks weapons that got buffed. All of these have better range than shotguns, one of them is pretty even. (Again: who figured sneaks needed buffs?)

Shotguns have less range than sneaker weapons tho.....

The Dev team also seems to greatly underestimate the power of attacking first: Im running around the core in full pvp gear, some sneaker starts hosing me with one of their uber weapon; As i result, i get winded, AP drained, suppressed and all that crap....no way i can defend myself after that.

''More of a support role'' You mean ON TOP of being the perfect killer and giving all ennemy position while being invisible? If you want sneakers to have more of a support role, just revert them back to recon class, problem solved. Let them use smokes and gadgets, but not wear CA and have top pvp level guns......Otherwise as i stated multiple times already: There is no point whatsoever to play anything else than a sneaker.

And add heavy armor training perk to be able to use combat and metal armor, untrained person shouldnt be able to run in them ;^)

Make that a perk to be able to use Power Armors and i would agree hehe.

How about not giving free sneaker perks to everyone then? How about sneaker having to actually take those perks as part of their templates? It would make sense and rebalance things at least a little bit: If the sneakers need to take silent running and i.e. ghost perks as part of their 8 perks it already cuts-back on the murder-perks.

Sneakers should be a a template by themselves, not just ''anyone who tagged the skill'' otherwise everyone goes Weapon skill, FA, Sneak +bunch of Combat-Perks.

You could make sneaking more dependant on char perks, instead of giving a bunch of free item perks.
For example: Silent Attack, you could need to get the char perk in order to unlock silent attacks on all weapons that have it. Pretty much like you need the Rambo(?) Perk to move around with a deployed weapon right now/A perk is needed to fully use the BG skill.

**Also extra question: That 56 hex i would spot heavy sneaker in, does that factor the -6 to min detection range from just wearing a stealthboy?**

Heavy Sneaker in CA id see him at 56 hexes if i somehow had 130 sight range?!? How can you even think that's legit? Why is there other templates? Why is this not called Sneakers Online? Why the fuck am i bothering making dif templates, if it's one sneaker to rule them all?

I totally agree with Mathew here: what SHOULD have been done was nerf the sneakers something fierce, by entirely removing their sneak-perks on weapons and other insane stuff that just makes them able to murder anyone 1vs1.

There was a Poll about sneakers: They should be Recon, not Ninja Assasins. Only question that remains is traps or no traps, but 80%+ do not want to see them as pvp chars.

So as i said before: If a heavy sneaker in CA can just walk up to my sniper's range and start shooting me first....what's the point?
