More PvP content would good expecialy with more importance, zone control for example needs to be more important to a faction rather then just more and cheaper goods to buy.

Make it so factions strive to work together and achieve a goal rather then a handful of looters or mission spam.

Suggestions / Re: Motion Sensor Traps
« on: October 02, 2014, 11:00:50 AM »
Make a sensor trap that detects sneakers within a certain radius based on conditions, something like:
Weight: If a character is over a certain amount of weight they will be discovered, like if they are carrying heavy weapons and so forth.
Movement: maybe less workable but if a stealther is running it will detect but walking it wont.
Stealth level: higher steal level will reduce the chance of setting it off
<insert other conditions here>

Could also have the character visable to only those with sight range on the trap, though maybe it will set of an alarm when triggered to the person who put it there.
Combined with the alarm thing, allow the trap to be shot or disarmed by the sneaker if detected or set off, this could allow a sneaker with trap skills to get to it and disarm it without setting it off or kill the alarm before it gets too much attention.

Either some form of deployment or give them a minimum accurate range would go a long way to making them more balance.

Watchtower seems to be missing from the Wiki, only reference i see is it needing 100 stealth.
How does it work exactly.

You get both for the benefits they both provide.

Generaly the most OP characters are ones with very high damage output or capable of nullifying their targets ability to fight, so your heavy snipers and Melee characters (mostly stealthed) or/and characters who can crit fast and regularly.

I personally think assault rifles are fine as is, the problem is that the area that they are meant to succeed at is too overlapped with guns that are superior, snipers especially.
Could always go with what someone talked about above and how they do it in wastland 2, reduced accuracy of close range weapons at range and reduced accuracy of long range weapons at shorter distances.

Maybe possibly changing from being able to defend anywhere in the zone to defending a key point, with a set amount of points given for holding that point over time.
That way you would give incentive for groups to fight over key positions rather then finding the best spot to camp and wait anyone else out. An added bonus of getting rid of capping via starting with 6 and leaving 1 stealther behind while they go find another zone to cap.

Another thing would be to remove part of the score from killing someone if they where defibed.

The ability to pick up, store and re-arrange items in the platoon base would be cool, though not sure if it could be done.

With pistols you will be going for fast aimed criticals to take em out, so yes luck and int are a must.
All the other specials are probably down to personal choice, a bit better at range or being more stocky and robust.

Desert Eagle .50 will of course be your friend.

As someone said earlier, we where testing spots to see how useful they where, obviously that spot was fish in a barrel esq due to windows which we have run foul off a few times.
When in better positions we have done a great deal better.

I quite like the laser rifle ext, its got nice range and can do some nice damage and crits, nothing like knocking someone down at a crucial moment at range.

An entire ZC session of V-tec, Lawyer and maybe BB co-operation against Family today.
Actually it was Lawyers + V-Tec vs. Family vs. Brahmin Boys

looks like Vtec and lawyers allied

Ah fair enough, i think its mostly the french Vtec platoon thats jumping in with the Lawyers.

Maintain the sight range, limit the range types of the usable weapons.
If a sneaker wants to run around with melee, pistols or SMGs then that's fine.

Nunn, imagine time zones. You spend your time with your squad capturing the map with blood and sweat, then you all get tired out.
A single person logs in, and wastes an hour to demolish your work.

Spose, though even with time zones theirs usually at least someone on that can go contest if they spam zones.

A logged out character isn't as bad as a stealthed one moving around to avoid those trying to find the single Zone capper :P
Have you thought about what I said? A single person (w\o any proxies) with a decent amount of 6lvl alts (not that hard to make even) can capture all the zones by himself, alone, IF that works. We need confirmation.

Even if it does work, a small team could wipe his alts out easily once found, that's what i meant.

And with the whole door thing, if your going to remove room camping then your going to have to fix sniper spam and other things that lead to room camping in the first place.
