Checking Player Inventory In Core
« on: September 12, 2014, 01:27:50 AM »

I'd love to see the ability to check inventory implemented while in the core (AND ONLY IN THE CORE TO NON-TEAMATES).

I've successfully robbed 3 people so far, but can't be sure if they shortchanged me... as a robber, I'd like to be thorough in my investigations to make sure I'm not letting them get away with a lethal weapon or valuable relic.

I've forgot to test:
If a person is knocked-out, not killed, can you loot them via pressing "3"? If not, that needs to be added.

I did check, it did not seem possible.. Unless it was added in an update.

At least not for people who are above 0 hp.

Is there any reason we shouldn't be allowed to check a player's inventory while in the core?

Because it makes no sense? No one in his mind would let you check what does he has until he can defend himself.
Let people check inventories and they will start shooting friendlies - it's easier to take his blueprints and donate to avoid reputation loss, getting free gear.
Knockout him / put below 0 HP and here you are. But reputation is already lost and you don't know what you get for it.

You seemed to ignore my point about this not affecting TEAMMATES?

I'm talking about ROBBING OTHER FACTIONS, in the CORE, without having to KILL the person to ensure a proper robbery.

Absolutely nothing of what I suggested would increase the rate of Team-killings, at all. And doesn't make sense? So you think a defenseless blue suit who spent 30 minutes looting would rather die, than be robbed and allowed to continue?

This does not make sense at all...

I do kind of miss the ability to check inventories, and it does have some uses. I think if it's possible to make it so the target has to stand still for ~3-5 seconds to have their inv checked then it would be good
