Some additional tips for new players
« on: June 14, 2015, 01:51:17 PM »

This is a section that will added to from time to time.

Please see below some useful tips that you might not be aware of:

You can change all your perks by typing: ~give me the chocolate.
You can change your SPECIAL Stats by typing: ~reroll and inputting the stats for SPECIAL.
Losing Rep is fine - there is a lady in each faction called Becky who gives you caps in exchange.
When you PVP - experience gained is converted to caps and can be found in your private room - if you do not have a room, those caps appear on the character.
Gifted characters cannot have 250 skill points in anything.
The ''home'' button on your keyboard moves the view, centrally, back to your character.

Some tips from the great S.T.A.L.K.E.R !

  • After using first aid, keep an eye on your bandaged percentage (top right corner) to see if you should First aid again or use a super stimpack
  • Some Abbreviations - RL - Rocket Launcher, GL - Grenade Launcher, TPR - Turbo plasma rifle, SS - Super Stimpack, AR - Assault rifles, FA - first aid, MFC - micro fusion cells, SEC - small energy cells, sPA - salvaged power armor,
  • If you saw a sneaker and have somewhat of an idea where he is, CTRL burst around there so it might desneak him
  • sometimes spamming is better than doing aimed shots, varies on what weapon you're using
  • I heavily suggest getting high First aid and doctor skills (at least 180%) and 250% weapon skill
  • Use grenades even without grenadier perk
  • If you're using a 2-handed weapon and high AP cost to shoot, I suggest taking a 1-handed weapon on your second slot with low AP cost to shoot. 1 handed just incase your arm gets crippled
  • Look for bullet tracers if you get shot by a sniper
  • If you're new to game, ask for mumble/Teamspeak address, listening is always good and you gain more trust from your faction buddies. Or else they'll assume you're a spy or something :V
  • Take Voodoo just incase you have to run away or before you engage the enemies
  • Ask to join main squad so you can see everyone during ZC

How do you put your weapon that's in your hand into your inventory without accessing the inventory directly?
