some random questions.

1: Does the blind luck reduce 50% damage?  or 50% chance less likely to be status effected, like crippling your

leg, blinding you, or whatever the trap does?

2: Is there no sneak running? I did not see a silent running perk.  you have to walk if you want to sneak?

3: In the tutorial you find a ghoul, and you fight geckos, even at level 24 this is hard, are level 1's

expected to fight these guys?,  and the bear traps don't help that much.

4: Is there anything in the tutorial that helps you in the long run?  ie increasing rep, or can we just run

through it, and go directly to a faction.

5: I haven't really found a lot of drugs in the game to test, like buffout, and psycho, do they give you a huge

advantage?  or just mild bonus?

6: At what level could you enter the dungeon? could a group of level 1's do it?

7: There was weird aggro in a mission, I think it was only (B) difficulty, but maybe it was F,
anyway they were aggroing me at about 50 hexes or so, usually I can get close, but these guys were running at

me from halfway across the map, just in my field of view, is this normal?   was this a more difficult mission?

8: In the core map it does not tell me where I am, but one time I some how managed to put a red X on it, but that was not the zone I was in, it was where I was before, is this functioning proporly? or is this glitch?

oh, and will Vtec have their own mine on launch?  or do they not get one :P

and what is the point of the mine?  can you make alloys from minerals, etc?

The mine has mining operation feature which allows for groups or solo players to actively guard NPC miners from mobs in waves while they mine. You get paid in miner scripts depending on your performance.

Mine scripts are a form of currency that can be traded for crafting materials and lower tiered items.

And of course the traditional method of mining the ore manually is still an option.

1. It's a 50% chance to avoid any effects (including damage) from a trap that would otherwise have affected you.

2. There's a silent running perk, but you get it as a reward from a quest. You get the quest form one of the NPCs in your faction.

3. The ghoul is on your side, he will help you fight the geckos. And I believe all the critters in the tutorial are weaker than normal mobs you find later in the wasteland. So no, it's not meant to be particularly difficult.

4. The tutorial is there to help you learn the basics of the game, and to be a fun introduction. If you do all the stuff in there you get enough experience points to level up a few times, which is always nice.

5. There are currently 3 type A drugs which last for one hour:
-Blood Moon: +2P, +20CC, -20CR, -20 Bleed Res.
-Mentats: +3P, +1I, -8DT, -5DR, -1S
-Buffout: +3S, +2E, -1A, -3L
Then there are 3 type B drugs which last for only 2 minutes:
-Psycho: +2S, +10DT, -20% AP regen, -5P
-Afterburner: +5 AP/s, -30DR
-Voodoo: +20% run speed, +15DR, -10 to all critical rolls, -3L. After 2 minutes you get winded (unable to run) for 30 seconds.

6. The requirements to enter the dungeon are mentioned in dialogue when you try to enter. Currently, the Phoenix Archives dungeon requires 4-6 players with at least tier 2 gear. The Hell Hole dungeon requires 5-7 players with at least tier 2 gear.

7. No idea

8. The minimap doesn't show you where you are. But if you right click on a map, you can add a marker. You can use the marker for whatever you want, for example to help remember where you hid some loot or something. You can only have one marker at a time though, and unfortunately it's a bit buggy if you switch chars or so. But it's better than nothing I suppose. It's not a glitch anyway.

More questions:

I realize I have access to dev server, or I did anyway, can't seem to log in now.

But how fast will leveling be?
I remember in 2238 I never really got higher than level 16, I thought I was hot shit.
So I hope it isn't quite that hard.
on the other hand, on the aop dev server I auto leveled to 24, and just testing missions and what not got to level 25 without even thinking about it, so who knows.  Just don't want to take forever to get to level 24, but maybe still be fun and challenging.

on the Silent Hill Perk is the ''weaker your enemy is'' mean his hit points? or his strength?
I assumed it meant hit points.

Tested it in game, didn't notice any difference...

Yes, it mean HP

Some questions regardless drugs:
Does the drugs stats bonus can go beyond 10?

Also, buffout gives overall +1 SPECIAL point, wont this make profitable to make a char that depends on taking a buffouts per hour to get this bonus?

drugs are not required, there is no need to plan your build with drugs in mind to stay compettitive. Aside form that, once you have a good reputation (30k) you can buy all drugs from a huge stock or also craft them yourself, which takes more time but you dont have to pay as much caps then.

1: It only works on the map the leader is in. If your squad is split on 2 maps, only those on your map will get the boost. If the part of the aquad that is on your map isnt big enough to fulfill the squad's conditions, there will be no boosts until the other people come back.

2: There is no upper limit, only a lower limit of 1 ftl with 2 followers/soldiers. There is no maximum limit for the squadleader either, but the more fire teams, the more effective you can apply specialized boost (crit+bleed for sniper fire team, hp and dr for burster fire team, for example)

3. No. This is to somewhat cut down on low-tier trolling at no caps investment (same for former "unarmed" skill)

4. Yes, but not the same ones.

Actually I was thinking if I am outnumbered, and know I am going to die, and don't want enemy to get the tier 3 LOL, or perhaps hold the tier 3 hostage for negotiations XD.

this game is not in the fallout engine, it's the fonline engine. You can play in 1920x1080 just fine and zoom all you want (almost)

I am particularly interested in everything concerning melee in this game. (Actually I'm addicted to it, so even if it will be non-viable, I'll still use it)
Will you separate melee skills in two groups? (H2H, weapons)
Wiki clearly states that there will be one skill (H2H) BUT http://fonline-aop.net/wiki/index.php?title=Strength "Unarmed (3/6), Melee (1/6)" states just that. (It is probably a typo, but I'm still quite interested in what you have planned.)

There is one melee skill, works on fist and melee weapons.
Melee does some SERIOUS damage, as well as troll knock down/ko, an will be viable in theory ^_^.

leather jacket and coat give you sprint perk, the less action points you have the faster you run, up to almost double speed? i think.  so you get shot, you first aid, then you can run faster, then you hit your target and he tries to run away, but you can run faster because you just used Action points.
So ironically, the less agility you have the faster you can run, because that will make your ap regen slower when running, enabling you to run faster longer when wearing leather jacket.

If you're in a squad and your squadleader has the movement speed module, the entire squad will run faster depending on each respecting member's charisma, and the squad leader's charisma

there also is a sneak character perk that gives you a movement speed bonus after killing an enemy without desneaking. The more movement speed you stack, the better it gets.

Fun fact: If 1hex is 1meter and you stack all possible movement boosts (voodoo, leadership, bloodthirst (sneak perk) and sprinting, then you will reach almost exactly the speed of usain bolt, the world record holder.

How out of date is the wiki on perks? I've heard mention of a handful of perks that I'm not finding, and I'm not sure if it is simply an armor or weapon perk I've overlooked, or if the wiki is just lacking a handful of perks.

You only take those perks once.  not sure about requirements but fearless takes 6 PE (30% suppression resist)
and living anatomy is 100% FA or doc, and awareness perk.

Why do factions from previous iterations of FOnline care? there will be other factions to fight regardless of what your alliance was before.

I'm looking forward to seeing old enemies get along for the benefit of their new faction.

But I suppose you could kill your old enemies even if they are in your faction, wouldn't advise it though. We can also have platoon names so for example

Pistoleros Platoon 1

Amboy Dukes Platoon 1.....It could work

But so far as i understood each faction divides into platoons, so the tree would be so.

-Main faction ( NPC allegiance)
-Platoon ( old style player faction)
-Squad ( In platoon group)
-Fire Team (squad sub group)

SO it will probably be every platoon for him self but for major events they get all caled together.

Ex: I have a long-term quarry with someone, and I know his nickname (obv.), when I see that he's in the same faction as me I will obviously be frustrated.
If I understood the rep. system correctly (or at least I presume it's that way), I will get character-destroying penalties everytime I will PK someone from my faction. So what am I to do?

2. Is there command to update the name colorizing without leaving game?

3. How to throw grenades from the utility slot?
4. What else can you put in the utility slot?

5. How much is skill bleed over effect between FA and doctor without Medicinae Doctor perk ?
6. Is there any perks at those skills? / There should be skilled related items for them?

7. What does those numbers at the defibrillator mean?

- whats quest for Silent Running perk ? - bring 15 cookies to a child as a lawyer. Check my Base Overview to locate him
- what gives Traps skill ? - Chance to locate a trap and make your trap hard to locate, as well as chance to distrap it. Don't know about perks
- how much is disorient effect decreasing hit chance and sight range ? 50%? I don't remember, I saw it somewhere
- what can we do in mines ? - you know, right? Defend miners from rats for scrips and use them for mine trader than. And something else.

So since everybody ask about that .50bmg let me clarify it.So far haven't seen any ammunition at 30k+ rep shopkeeper and i believe he will never sell it.I believe the only reason to find that .50 bmg is as same as for caseless and 2mm gauss-in the phoenix zones(probably core regions),but even then they are rare,and the reason behind it  is that all the guns that use these kind of ammo deal a LOT of dmg ...found only 80 or so for vindi,and in my opinion its fine as it is.

I have access to lvl5...bu the overseer don't speak to m, and I dont have access to lvl4...Anyone know why? too low lvl maybe?

Question: Are Faction-Armors lootable by enemies? Cuz' they are "Faction-Only" and all. Bound to your Faction-Reputation. Right now I have not seen any enemy spies in Brahmin-Armor... so I'm a bit curios :D

Well u're wrong,Mega power first requires also 90 ap to do same dmg but i have to get close while you can spam from range,but my ammunition is cheaper while yours is rare,it's called balance....

In-game description says that Critical Str/Pe/En/Ag perk give you 25% more likely to pass critical rolls vs Str/Pe/En/Ag. But there is quote from wiki: "these perks gives +2 in their corresponding stat, for the purposes of this roll", and formula P = 80-5*ModifiedStat (P is the probability (in percent) and ModifiedStat is the target's defending stat, modified by perks and traits). So, which information is correct?

How do I use Medic-Items like the Paramedics Bag, First Aid kit ... ? If I equip these items and try to "use" them on another player there only comes the message "this does nothing". I have 166% Doc & 79% First Aid. Do I need a higher First Aid skill or did I something wrong? :/

Put the kit in the Utility slot.

Thx! So I guess they are used as "passiv" buff, rather than an active healing-item yes?

There's ability to bind FA / Doc kits for a key in hotkeys.ini , but they don't seem to work, basically same "This does nothing" message.

Because there is no need to. Those items are passive buffs, they apply (+25 hp per heal) when you use FA.
With 200 FA, (200 hp), target wearing leather (+25hp) and an aid kit in your utility slot (+25 more hp) you can heal for 250 hp... This is, of course, without "bandaged" status.

W/o faith healer you get a 1(percent) of a bandaged status for each 3hp healed, with that perk for each 6. Which basically means that you are right, it does bandage you more, just because it heals you more.

Oh, no-no, I'm talking about +50 HP healing perk, Dr. Strangelove, it gives 65% bandaged level for 210 HP.... which is ... damn, correct.

Ok, another question about LDR boosts: Are 2% Better Armor Bypas and 2% Less Severe Armor Bypasses the effects modifying Bypass Resistance Derived Stat?
