Title: AoP : Survival and Suffering Edition 2016-01-22 ~ 2016-01-24

Just for the weekend.

The following are in effect:

You cannot leave the Core.
Player respawns are 10 seconds.
Respawning will place you in a random spot on anywhere in the core.

All crafting tool requirements removed and all recipes learned for all players, this includes T3 items.
All players spawn at cap levels.
Engineering set to 200.
Science set to 200.
Science enabled in the core!

Item spawns are increased 10x.
Mob spawns are increased 4x.
Mob patrol size halved.
Mob aggro radius halved.

Names are hidden. You cannot follow. You cannot squad.
Bounty will increase as you stay alive longer or take them from other players if you kill them.
Dying to NPCs will lose half your Bounty.
Leader board is based on Bounty.

The City feels so alive!

Family gangsters running drugs and bumping into the hound patrols. Not knowing if that player is friend or foe, or not even knowing if its a player at all!

The mad dash for resources upon spawning is thrilling. So is escaping from ruthless bands of killers, and then coming back for your revenge once you have a weapon.

The rate of NPC spawns didn't seems to be a problem. The fact they came in smaller groups and have a smaller agro range gave the loner a chance to survive. Either by fighting or running away, it still held enough challenge to not be considered too easy. (Apart from hospital, that place is crazy)

Never had a problem with the random spawn, there have been no insta deaths...Yet.

Names clip, mainly when a player enters/exits/enters your vision.
Squads are still enabled afaik.

Map looks weird as fugg ;) Also can access a couple of different inventory screens. It doesn't look like the usual UI, so I'm assuming I shouldn't be able to get at it yet.

I like this.

Only 2 things that bother me are seeing the players name the first second you see them and players having no contours (the highlighting of players when on attack mode). All players with no walls mod have a huge advantage (I can also mod my client but prefer keeping AoP 100% natural)

Will make video soon of frags I got...and deaths :P

I cant even hide gear because some players have a contours on that too. combined with a wall mod they can find everything without needing to search.

All mah pretty stash piles :(

Although thinking about it I did try this once. Placed tonnes of gear behind a pile of crates and them immediately disappeared

hobos and scavengers are looting it

Immediately, meaning I dropped it and it was then gone. and this was in HQ before this event.
My stashes today went untouched.  ;D

I have seen looters grab stuff but its never whole piles. Just random things from this spot and that spot.

I am so casual on AOP these days that i wasn't even aware it was an event. I just assumed it was a very buggy re-release of AOP...
