Shit throwers - i mean insulting by words, spaming chat and writing by items something like "leMark is...", "Skycast is..". Total mess.Ah, ok. Well, I think there's a built in option to ignore players (but I haven't looked into it much). It might be worth enabling something like that if we have such problems. There's also the possibility of word-filters, but I never really liked that in games.
And you can be killed by 3 players with 3 bursts. I dont believe in humans.
What about turn-based traps of high-level players in the square of enemy's HQ ? I think it will be most frequent fun for players. Whats chance fall inside of encounter with players ?We won't have any kind of turn based combat, so that's not a problem. I don't think we have made any decisions about frequency of falling into encounters of other players.
I've read that the player will have ~100 action points. Sounds nuts, except if you will need more AP to use things, or shoot, etc. Maybe I've just didn't see that, but having 100 action points, and death at -100 HP... sounds nuts.just wait until more information is available. This server is PvP oriented so it doesn't make sense if even the basis of its pvp system is "nuts", right?
So when there will be more faction, all of them will have a faction that is its ennemy ?
This factions vs factions reputation would change over time or be permanent ?
Everyone would be able to check it ?
If the Lawyer faction is ennemy of the family faction, no Lawyer player/member would be able to have good reputation with family faction ?
Of course, those kind of things would only matter with more than two factions...
in a few days ;)
Actually not, that picture you're showing has been made some years ago. Sweet memories!I saw your avatar and it looked familiar so I went and digged around the old 2238 archives and found cryos videos and site. You helped with some of that stuff right? The art is beautiful.
Then i would like to know if it is normal that in almost 3hour in game i havent cross any other players? No real advertising has been done yet, and the initial beta phase (at this point) is relatively low on players.
But i have few questions, i joined the family, and i try to find a merchant in the family basement to trade weapons etc, unsuccessfully. The merchants only accept weapons with 50% or more item deterioration, but you can trade junk (including the random odds and ends you find in the city) in to some of the vendors at each base, to earn caps.
To be honest, we don't yet know exactly when we'll proceed to wipe. I think it's gonna mostly depend on the arrival of the wiki (for which we'll need players contributions) and the advancement of the client, since the rest can be evolved easily afterwards. We'd like to include as much stuff as we can as well before wiping, and some of it is gonna need testing too, especially the dungeons. So based on that, is it likely that there is at least a month before a wipe, if one comes?
Hopefully today, depends if I recovered enough to prepare it, was kinda sick this weekend, suffering from a deep headache.I know that feel bro...
I'd say you will have to play the game before making suggestions if you don't wanna lose your time. Melee are currently just as viable as any other class.
Well if you insist I can give you access to the dev server but it has no other purpose than filling the wiki... the game is not ready for live yet.
Nope, you don't need anything else than what's written in the installation thread (http://fonline-aop.net/forum/index.php?topic=399.0).
Otherwise, np dude, it's always nice to see someone interested in AoP.
Some art that are used in AoP come from Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics. That mean that in order to have the right to use those art, you have to buy those 3 games.
If you don't, then somewhere, some people may become angry.
On another hand, to be able to launch AoP, you only need 2 files from Falout 2 (Master.dat and Critter.dat).
