Title: Wiki feedbacks
Post by: Shangalar on April 26, 2014, 07:17:28 AM
Hello guys!

It's been some days since the new skin was implemented, so I'd like to ask if you have any feedback concerning the wiki, both its edition menus and readability. Anything to report? Feeling comfortable?

I think everything is alright now, didn't experience any bug on my side, except the Recent Changes page which is unavailable on Safari for an unknown reason.

Edition wiki looks easy, in some point only mading tabels is a little bit complicated, but i just need to lern that. I was reading wiki for quite long and i dont spot any bugs so quite far no problems.

I've asked some people around and all they said it was kind of hard to read the normal text with the backround color.

Hello all.

Have you really difficulties to read the wiki ? Are you using a large desktop screen or other device ?
It seems so easy to read for me (anf other people I ask advice ) that I can't beleive you have such different feeling on the same page/content. Do you suffer from eyes diseases ?

By the way, the wiki text is the same as the website text ( font, size, color, background color ). Do you also have difficulties to read the website ?

Regarding your replies to this post I will try to update the current theme but you should be patient. We already take a long time to decide the font, the color, etc.. of the current version ).

Hello all.

I made an update of the theme for both website and wiki. Previously the contrast of the text was 2.7 we now have a contrast of 4.8 that is much better (and should be enough for everyone )

I will try to make other modification beceause I have the feeling this new color break a little bit the soft design. ( Sorry, did not found the right english word ! ) but give me your feeling about it plz.

Hello all.

If you have any issue with the wiki to make great tables : you can edit the existing pages to see how the columns are made.
For example, I edit the home pages and all the weapons pages to update the tables / columns.

It is good to know that our wiki theme use bootstrap. So we can use bootsrap rules to layout the wiki pages ( as you will see in home page & weapons pages ).

So if you want to make a table / multiple table the best way is to use boostrap tech ( good display on every devices ).
To do this you will use some html code :

Code: [Select]

<div class="row">
    <div class="col-sm-4"> My first column </div>
<div class="col-sm-4"> My second and centered column </div>
    <div class="col-sm-4"'> My third column </div>
</div>

So :

The table that we will put in each column use the normal mediawiki syntax. If you have any hesitation on how to made a table, please refer to the page of a weapon.

Feel free to contact me by email / pm if you have any issue with this.

</div>

So :
  • All columns must be in  a row ( div class="row" )
  • All columns have a size (here a size of 4 ) : col-sm-X
  • A line has a size of 12. So if we make 3 columns of size 4 we are right ( For two columns we will use col-sm-6 )

The table that we will put in each column use the normal mediawiki syntax. If you have any hesitation on how to made a table, please refer to the page of a weapon.

Feel free to contact me by email / pm if you have any issue with this.

Thanks for this, when i made new wepon page i was just using template and fill it with with new information. Editing wiki is quite new job for me but im doing what i can :P

Sorry for this m6k3 but could you give me the url of the page you use as template ?
I did not manage to find it and I would like to update it.

About wiking weapons try to have max skill for thet 1 so you can see all perks traits

Ok m6k3 !

I did understood that you use a special page as template. Please could you use the table from the weapons as template and not others tables ?

Like you can see in the pages you take as example the two tables are not verticaly align. If you take tables from the weapons pages you will not have this issue.

Do not take care of updating the pages you already done. I will update them but try to use the table from the weapons for the new page you create. ( If you want I can create a default table for gear or any other table you will need ).

About wiking weapons try to have max skill for thet 1 so you can see all perks traits. And i need to scavange the core or ask some dev to spawn more resources to craft and relicks so i woudl can fast craft the missing ones :)

Ye i know about this i made special pistolero char that has 250SG and can craft all this shit.

Ok m6k3 !

Ye default ones for wepons and armours/suits will be awesome it will just make job easier for a beginner like me.

Ouh and one more thing is there is a possibility that any dev in free time coudl spawn more craft resurces in Lawers agency, and relicks because some of them missing. And that woudl be a lot faster than scavnger the core, ofc im exploring the game and this is fun for me even if im running alone in server since i dont play much first open beta ( i was focused on fonline2) :)

Make sure to unload weapon to get the weight right.

also get the pictures from your AOP folder and not ingame screen

also keep in mind that only the maxrange matters, not the effective range since that is different for each character. different firemodes also have different ranges.

Hello all,

Sorry for bothering you, but can we focus this topic on the wiki feedbacks ? This is still a wip and unrelated messages are hampering(? new word for me ;o ) the discussion.  (

I updated the color of the text in both wiki & website.
Could you tell me if it solves your reading issues ?

Don't be afraid to give additional comment like the one about text color or anything that can improve the overall experience on the website/wiki. ( It will avoid to make same mistakes for the forum ).

due to an unforseen bug, we had to wipe after updating earlier today. New features include the new armor traits, fixes to the resource- and patrol spawns in the core and 2 new random encounters.

guess we could do that. Since it's also used for test pvp sessions, I removed everything that's not needed in pvp in order not to overcomplicate things

Hi all

I am new to AoP, as I discovered it a few days ago. I spent some time on the wiki. I didn't play the game of course, but the new game mechanics looks awesome. Much more realistic than others fonline games. We'll see more different tactics, weapons and builds, pvp will be very interresting for sure.
I know the wiki is still work in progress, but some stuff was wierd. The crit page reffers to perks that aren't in the perk list, such as better critical, more criticals (described as +2% crit chance wich is pretty useless) and 4 eyes something (scope bonus doubled). Maybe others are missing, I don't know. The crit with bursts aren't explained. Are there any damage increases from critical hit?. There are some typing mistakes a bit everywhere. Also, is it planned to add perks requirements to the wiki? or is it to be discovered ingame? Does a character planner exist? I thaught not, so I'm trying to make a cheap one with excell (to be shared if I can make something correct).
The skill cap sounds interesting, as it will make ape fighters less effectives, but what is the base sp/lvl? still 5+2*I? Adding info about the sp cost for skill increase would be nice. I know it gets higher as the skill rise, but I would like to make some accurates calculations.
The bleeding seems nice too, but I didn't understand something: can the bleeding put a guy down when he reaches 0 HP? or if he gets shot below 0, can bleeding finish him off? And if yes, will it be possible to revive a guy that had half his blood outside his veins? So many questions...

I can't wait to play the game!!!!!

more criticals is weapon perk, not character perk
four eyes isnt perk, its trait
there arent perk requirements i think
formula for skill points is still same 5+2*I, sp cost per skill increase is same too
bleed can finish target
reviving is possible with defibrilators

The only perk requirements are level requirements (you can't take all perks at level 3), and also some skill related perks require 100 in that skill to be available. The medic related perks require either 100 doc or 100 fa before you can pick them. Apart from that, no perk requirements.

crafting recipes are right, unless they did some ninja update.

Also drugs should be up to date, unless I edited wrong or they changed them.

feedback is feedback :P

http://fonline-aop.net/forum/index.php?topic=130.0 actual info about perks

Only question is that how many times you can take perk from 24+ lvl because for sure few of those you can take more than one time

Additional info for educated and gain special would be nice because educated give retroactively sp from 3rd lvl, gain give retroactively from lvl1 i think.

Would be nice if somebody make it sortable via name/level.
