Actually, strangely, after running updater every couple hours and before sleep yesterday I was getting nothing, but not long after posting thread I ran update again as usual, and it finally worked.


I have no idea what the issue could possibly be, but possibly it was to do with my own ISP.  I had just accessed another's nearby network wondering if it would make a difference, and it worked suddenly and without issue.

But as far as I know they have the same ISP as me.

I've done that every time i changed settings for resolution/fullscreen.  Doesn't fix it.

Speaks for itself.  Cannot reroll characters because I do not have full view.

I've tried every resolution and in full screen and windowed modes.

Ahh yes now it works thanks.  I didn't even know there was supposed to be that map that pops up.

I wonder why the latest client I downloaded didn't have it, but more importantly why I had an error updating, which would've solved it automatically.

Will link the care package incase it helps.

Run the updater, If it says up to date, post back here so I can make a carepackage.
I've tried.

For over an hour before.

Trying at this very moment as well.  for over 30 minutes.

It's simply stuck at "begin checking" permanently.

this issue persists through all my characters.


When I create a character.  I escape the city and go to base of the faction I chose.  I enter it, do whatever I do before leaving back to worldmap to go to the city.

However, at this point, I cannot enter ANY locations from world map.  I go over to the green city circle entrance and attempt to enter and it gives me a message:  "you cannot enter from there" after repeated attempts.  I cannot enter anywhere.  Not random tiles, not the base, not the city.  I'm stuck permanently, and this happens to all my characters thus far.  Pretty much cannot play the game.


I even tried committing suicide and I was simply stuck at 1 HP until bleeding stopped and i healed.

Flamer beats smg due to such minor range differences, and extremely high damage differences.
Pistol beats smg by Damage and range and AP cost and ammo...
Assault rifle beats it by all means for obvious reasons unless you happen to be close to it.

SMGs are not "situationally viable" in any situation compared to other weapons.

There is nothing good about the gun.  More range would fix this.  I only said 40 range.  I did not say in what attack modes.

1-25 range for bursting, and 1-35 or 1-40 range for single shots.

This is hardly sniper SMGs anyways, stop being retarded.  Bursting from that range would have so much spread as to do practically no damage.  And aimshotting does so little damage it's only good for attempting to cause a crit effect mostly cripples.

Then you are saying that the perk is broken?  That the formula is broken for resisting criticals is broken? What?

if that's true then it should and probably will be fixed anyways, thus my point is still relevant, in due time.

In my own experience, I very rarely am knocked out, and what few times it happens lasts for such a short amount of time, coupled with voodoo and sprinter perk it's like a bump in the road.  Thus I am no less wrong from my own experience.  The game is after all chance based, and I suppose we could attribute it to that unless there really is something I am missing here.

Yeah okay keep telling yourself that.

Keep in mind you do get normal damage resistance buff alongside it.  and with quick recoveries what few knock outs that occur last 1 second.

And even then they don't occur often if you got the appropriate perks.

Defending statistics
The statistic that is rolled against to apply the effect depends on the effect:

Strength - Knockout, Weapon drop, AP drain
Perception - Blind, Disorient
Endurance - Cripple legs and arms
Charisma - None
Intelligence - None
Agility - Partial Armor Bypass, Knockdown
Luck - None

From the wiki.

Get high strength, high agility, high endurance.  but of course we already know this.  Take man of steel.  Naturally.  Critical Strength, both quick recovery, toughness, adrenaline rush.  These are the perks that I took to resist damage and critical strikes, and I am pretty much never knocked out.  Ever.  Hell for the longest time i hadn't even taken critical strength, and I still exceedingly rarely got knocked out, and even if it DOES happen it lasts for a short enough amount of time that it's like a regular knock down.  Also with the second quick recovery you can get over voodoo's ending effect of suppression 20% faster, etc.  Of course if voodoo is wearing off your enemies should be dead anyways.  If they aren't you're incompetent or dead.

also keep in mind that the massive speed increase from leather jackets and voodoo makes up for the down time from what 5% chance of getting knocked out you have.

@Fayfay Voodoo is amazing for fighting even against a small group by yourself as you can easily outrun them and thus perform brutal hit and run tactics.  But I don't know what the fuck you guys are expecting, a rambo with a sledgehammer?  Numbers fuckin matter and that isn't going to change, but voodoo is amazing for close combat characters if they build right.

Take voodoo.  Get both quick recovery perks, much crit resistance, etc  wear leather jacket, combat lj, or coat. 

Murder everyone, and piss on their corpses if they tried to cheese you by running away.

I used my RL yesterday. Twice.
That doesn't count so obviously.....  You can buy RL from 30k rep trader and craft the ammo.

one less strength isn't that big of an issue.  Chances are if you're a sniper you have 10 intell and 250% sg.

Not really it's been broken since launch.

btw the guy could also be accepting locked metal suitcases...
No, he only accepts orange ones.

The dialogue on him is broken, not proceeding when you click to give it to him.
