well why we most buy those faction armor if we in the same faction

my idea is when you got liked faction will start to trust you  and they will learn you how to craft there faction armor mark 1 and 2 when you do quest   and when you got 100 k rep you can craft mark 3 after quest

crafting cost +10 engineering than normal CA

nah its about that armors only + new point crafting those armor need paint 1 for each armor  and paint can be found in core mid  to find

its pretty easy to get chitin scraps.

@suggestion - what about the players that switch factions?  They'll be able to craft other faction armors too which seems bad.

Also what's the point of crafting if its just painted combat armor. There should be some Guy that paints and charges the player 1000 caps.

or a rare-ish crafting drop only found certain places and on certain enemies, that would be lovely.

Wrong, they have same stats. It only have 2 ranks instead of 3 so rank 1 equals to 2 and rank 2 equals to 3.

Vtec camkii has 17/55 and bonus critical resistance, while normal camkii has 15/50 without bonus critical resistance.  (My stats on my character)

Well then, camkii should be repainted to make mki armor.
