You should be able to challenge a champion of the opposing faction to duel for zones... Just my two cents.

What about challenging the champion of your own faction to become the new champion ? (with no rep loss if you win)

Why'd you even want to trade with enemy faction? What's the incentive?
I get the one if you are factionless, you're not an interested party. But isn't trading off your high tech gear to enemy is basicly betrayal? :|

Trading, communication, alliances, politics, give a much needed depth into the faction system, especially with the human factor involved.

I don't get why you want to keep it binary.

on one side no more trolling by keeping zones contested.. on other you are not even warned that they are in zones so they will kill all loners

You can choose to spawn closer to the next map you intend to go. (btw the new spawn system is quite awesome. You know exactly where you end up)

Experienced players might spend less time reaching level 6, but casual or very noobs might take much more time. Thinks of those with bad builds, unaware of shortcuts, unfamiliar with the menues, and having hard time fighting in real time agains't tiny pixels. I am not even mentioning tactics knowledge specific to AOP, or players that intend to make unconventionnal characters with less damage/defense.

The process will not only be longer, but harder, and might get boring after a while.

Stalker, your screen only show that Zone Control should be manually started (through the flags already there) instead of automatics (when you enter zone). It doesn't mean we should have 2238 TC here.

Also, the dev took the time to write down an humougous message about what they intend to do with ZC. I think we should let them implement it and suggest ajustments if need be.

I am rather for economy wipe, but i can only tell from my personnal experience.

I don't plan to stash anything before joining a faction, because of that 50 caps thing, and i can't wait anymore to join a faction.

On the other hand, i spent a few hours in the core yesterday and i manage to get a few levels without dying agains't players (only once). If you keep wandering in the core, openning lockers, avoiding other players, reading books and fighting npc when you think you have a chance (don't let them swarm you, be willing to spare them if you think you gonna lose, be an opportunist when they fight each others, use doors/covers/exit grids), it is doable in less than 5 hours. But it can get very boring if you are forced to do it again when you are near the objective.

New players, of course, would require more time to get the same result. Even more reasons to not wipe their experience points. It isn't hard to level up, but a bit long, and a bit boring after a while, especially if said new player isn't fond of pve/exploration to begin with.

Other options to consider now that the factionless is a forced thing, not a self-imposed thing. (haven't played yet)

- Factionless faction chat - Sounds a bit silly when said like that, but factionless should be able to talk with each other.
- Radio (with item or just by activating a code in the chat) to communicate with anyone, not just your faction (you can disable reception ofc)
- Already existing group providing help to noobs/maybe recruit them at some point.
- Neutral areas in which you don't/can't fight, but meet people from other factions/factionless.

But IMO, the problem is that there is only one way to access the base. There should be various alternative suiting various kind of players. (level, trophy, reputation, money, quest etc...). Those should be reachable in a few hours, but not in a few seconds. But, in the meantime, noobs should be able to communicate with someone, especially in a few months when there won't be several noobs arriving at the same time.

sorry but this is worst introduction to fonline i have ever encountered. 2h of gameplay - 6 crushes, 4 times logged off died instantly. Seriously no safe zone for characters at lvl1?? sorry but i'm out

It would be nice to be able to help factions, through quest, Zone control or healing militia, to speed up the process. The more reputation you have with them, the better are the chances to be accepted. (there could be other alternative cost, for less combat oriented characters)

But IMO first 3 rerolls should be free for characters made in the first 2 days...then after that they expire to prevent all these alts made just to reroll for free. You're gonna have all these players make 1 INT, 1 STR sniper builds which is a huge no no in AoP. Or your "psycho tank" build from FOnline 2.

It would be nice to have free reroll, or reroll count reseted (so you still have three/whatever the numer of free rerolls) after the changelogs that impact balance. It seems fair to allow player to change their stats if their favorite perk get removed or nerfed.

Unless server status is wrong, new cession hasn't started yet.

Although, the point still remain regardless if it comes from me or another. VTEC or any faction that have bigger number, AND the mindset to deny it for a long period, would likely prefer the number not being displayed. (although, that theoretical new group has yet to appear, contrary to the group mentioned in my previous message, that everyone present last cession can easily identify and relate to. But indeed, i could apply to other groups and might already have happened in other servers)
