Suuuure, if you are a small gunner there is tons of loot, like 4 guns per square inch.  Bit if you are melee or big guns good luck.
Which is addressed with the tech advancing to last season's guns.

yes, current system needs to be changed, it was designed with minimum playerbase in mind

although i dont necessary agree with the old ass 10 minute town control mechanics
It's actually legit broken because there were some pre-wipe changes, but will be fixed in an update shortly.

Edit: Hopefully.

Try running as admin. It also could possibly be an anti-virus.
Is your client also up to date?

The economy is irreparably damaged I believe, and would prefer a simple item-only wipe. While it is true that the gear most have will be devalued with the release of the higher tiers, the mass amounts of currency will not.

Gear is easy to come by in Phoenix, and honestly, the average player will not be missing much.
I should mention, and this should piss some of you off as well, some people abused some oversights to get mass quantities of caps, and due to the mass amounts of GLOBAL_KURWA with the factionless, some people in factions got tens of thousands of faction currency for free as well. Enough to "live on" for quite a while.

Run the updater. Pretty sure you can craft spears already. Positive, actually.

Not sure about the others but I'm pretty sure Sappers "sap" AP or something.
They're just really garbage for some reason, actually. Melee weapons didn't get any love, and we didn't realize it until was too late.
Hell, there are like NO spears on the server right now either. I addressed that, but it won't be fixed until the server restarts (hopefully tonight)

It goes without question that we didn't expect it to take so long to get to level 6. We're working out way through the bugs right now, but rest assured, we intend to smooth that process over. The level requirement was a very last minute thing, the initial thought was to induce a cap cost to get into a faction, then a rat pelt cost, but in the end we just went with levels and picked an arbitrary number  that to get to, you would have to have played more than a couple minutes.
Part of the idea was to make you think about which faction you choose more, and to hopefully work together with people you meet to stay alive.
Gets a bit harder to balance when groups of 20 are rolling around, but that's pretty standard FOnline. Honestly actually, the entire left column of the core was barren all day. I think I saw maybe 10 people walk into the top right map today.
There were places to grind in peace, it just definitely wasn't the center.

Also, I have old AoP client, is there some kind of package or update I can attache to that so I can play or am I forced to download the whole 1.2GB file again ?

Like for example - Not having to RE-Download critter.dat / master.dat and other stuff I currently have ?
Cuz this is kinda annoying: Aop-Client: Download / Speed: 3.28KiB/s: Remaining time: 6 days: 9 hours: 22 minutes.

I updated one of the clients on the main page.

"We decided that the time we're most comfortable with is 6PM CET (1 PM east, 12 PM central),"

I don't understand, 6PM CET is 6PM Central European Time. Its now delay of an hour and 22 minutes.
Fixboy broke last minute, so we had to fix it.
Fixboy is now fixed boy.

Day 0 patch, start running those updaters now, post here if there is problem.

I updated both of clients: old and downloaded new client. When i try to launch new client, i have gray display with no responding. After that there is only black screen with standart game cursor. Updated old client is launching normally after first crash.

I'm pretty sure the client won't work properly until it can connect to the main server which is currently down.
I could be wrong though, not really my department.

Small update for the wipe. I removed the circles from the main interface above the AP bar, I'll upload a version with the circles just in case someone wants it, though.

This is awesome. What is the time frame for this? Just out of curiosity. I guess the absence of my characters is indicative of my mediocrity.
First recording was ‎Thursday, ‎August ‎13, ‎2015, ‏‎8:49:39 PM

after we stopped playing as a group

It's a shame we don't have stats for the entire first session, but it's always cool to see details on the gameplay.

Damn wanted to play today, try your new server and all ... What happened ?
I have a notepad on my desk full of gamebreaking bugs I experienced in the first five minutes due to some new additions, the general idea is that we'd like for that to be much closer to empty.
Genuinely sorry we got everyone's hopes up, but I am very confident most of this stuff will be sorted before we're even halfway through the week.
I'm excited about the new changes, and we don't want your first experience with them to be a buggy shitty mess.

My priority is to use software efficent for my cause, not to stay up to date, unscosious and unaware the costs.
Not sure what is more efficient when you're complaining about it. All of that aside however, I just tested on firefox and it downloaded fine. Topic locked however, as it's just turning into flaming.
Sorry you had a bad experience, man. I guess it isn't -that- obvious that you need to click the text below the buttons, and not the buttons.

Well I'll go a bit more into detail about it.
If we had stuck to the original plan we could have.
But in the week leading up to the wipe, we made some pretty drastic design choices that we think will make the game much more enjoyable, but require at least another day of testing before we can make it go live.
Bugs are unavoidable, but we didn't even test any of the new stuff, and when we did, we learned that we were going to need at least another day to get through it.

That said, most of my work is done, so I'm going to take the opportunity to improve some lighting.

FUCK YOU TOO.  You talk about factions and make it sound interesting, fucker >_<.
If Ron Perlman was narrating that you would have shivers down your spine.
I searched for a while to find a person eating popcorn who was listening but didn't have their mouth agape in some form of massive over excitement, it was meant to encourage
