Next time, you might want to shout before they see you, and see what they answer. If they don't answer or their answers seem hostiles, they will be hostile when they see you. We sometime do that when we want to provide help to a faction. (They rarely agree)
There is quite a number of new lawyers these days and those might not share the same sympathy with BBoys than some of the others. It is unfortunate considering the nice mini-event BBoys organized the last time they paid us a visite.

As said earlier, i think it is safer for you to shout in the zone (using /s before your text) or communicate through an alt. So if they say no, you still can leave the map or fight them before they see you.
If you just show up in their range, by the time you know if they are hostiles or not, you might be already dead.
