V-Tech gathering
« on: September 09, 2014, 08:24:45 AM »

Hi everyone,

I'm pretty sure lots of players from V-Tech think it lacks organization in here.
This is about to change.
We, the crazy88 historical faction are about to open our doors, but let's talk about us first :

Crazy 88 is an international faction (mainly western europe) created in 2010 which played on most the previous fonline server and lastly we were on Fonline2.
We are mostly experienced players, and used to be Anti-PK gang at our begining. Our plan is to gather some V-tech players in order to be able to fight against other faction that manage to organize themselves. We have TS server on which you can access, once you will be accepted.

Unfortunately we won't be able to take everyone, so you must fulfill some basic requirements to settle in. For instance, it is strongly advised that you have a minimum level of english, to be able to communicate. We also would like you be self-sufficient with your gear, at this stage we can't manage to share gear with everybody.

Pré-requisite (to be precised) :
- be 18 years old or more (not strictly mandatory if you prove yourself mature)
- being V-tech of course
- English speaking
- microphone + headset for ts using
- having a minimum level of knowledge of this game ( to be precised)

If you are interested in joining us please read this topic : http://crazy88.1talk.net/t10-read-me-first
and make application here : http://crazy88.1talk.net/f7-recruitment-center

For further questions, you can contact me through pm or in this subject.

Hope to see you all soon.

Y'know, Herbie, we've (ARWH) got to talk a little bit at some point, being in the same faction and all.

Hi Smalltime, I did not know you were in V-Tech... Who are you playing with at the moment?

ARWH, like I said above. We've got a pretty healthy number, but not enough to stand up to the swarms during daytime.
It would be mutually beneficial to open a line of communication and work together, as I don't think either of us have the (organized) numbers to stand against the other factions alone.
And to be honest, there is no reason for us to try to do so, as the success of our faction is in both of our best interests.

Thread move to Platoon Embassies. I really hope V-Tec will manage to organize, as they clearly got numbers but lack organization and equipment compared to the other factions main forces.

Tonight V-Tecs managed to win a very difficult battle against Brahminboys but also Lawyers. This battle was entirely recorded and we'll post an announcement about it soon.

Sadly, as it was metioned factions are not balanced, all factions got the people unless its the Family, where we got 20¬max, while only 1 platoon.

At least you don't have problem to coordinate. but that sucks really.
from what I saw there are a lot of small groups in v-tech, which make it difficult to organize, maybe some should go to family

Don't let our size fool you, its not that easy to organize even in the family where the community is small. Most of the capable troops insist on doing assignments while ZC is taking place. We can organize between 5-13 players at best, or thats the maximum I have been a part of anyway.

It does suck that we have small numbers and it seems were mostly made up of newbies, not like thats a bad thing fresh blood is always needed. But the players that are more than capable seem to either be running a monopoly within their own faction or downright refuse to do anything that doesn't directly benefit them. NOT all players of course, the majority see the family as...Well just that, a family! Unfortunately I know some players have left the family due to our small presence in Phoenix, but the rest of us soldier on. You wont take this city so easily :p

That's enough to do something, but you guys always, and I mean always camp a room and die 1 by 1

The fate of the deaf.

What other tacticts are there to use without a voicechat? It's not just a family problem.
Typing where you saw an enemy 30 second ago, at best is totally worthless. For once the delay allows anybody to escape,
and half of that chatarmy swarm doesnt even read the box.
So staying in visual contact in a defendable position isn't even the worst decision. But not using VoIP is!
The new players need to understand that they - at least sometimes - are up against players that have developed tactics and routines on other fonline games over years.

Beeing forced into one large faction with nubs i wouldn't have trusted to count my ammo on other servers is an interesting challange.
What we have here is arrogance colliding with ignorance.
The way i see it, both sides need to overcome psychological barriers.

But since this is a V-tech thread, lets keep it local.

Who beside C88 has a TS/mumble wich they are willing to open to the public?
Please post here.

I think at first we have to agree wich one to use as public one, and maybe a second one for the not-so public stuff.
Maybe one American one European, different timezones, different responsibilitys...just an idea im throwing here.
(Personally i would prefer using TS3 servers since you can put them in tabs, not sure if mumble can do that.)

Once this is done, the hard part is convincing more people to use the service a voicechat offers,
so the vets can tell you how much you suck and boss you around like a bad imitation of a drillseargent.
Then we can discuss build, tactics, supplys...all that good stuff.
And somewhere along that line we might even capture a Zone not by luck or more disorientated oponents but real teamplay.

What do you think?

An Off-Topic
Spoiler for Hiden:
@Klot mumble pretty much has everything TS3 has, and for some reason I like it more. At least you don't need to download any overlays for in-game channel view ^^
