+1 To only armor being destroyed upon certain crit deaths. e.g goo death.
Having every piece of gear someone has brought to ZC destroyed is nonsense. People take thousands of caps worth of gear. To have all of that lost because you were turned into a pile of goo by natures peace for example, is just toooo much. Destroy the armor, or have its quality & or condition go down dramatically. But not destroyed entirely.
Having everything destroyed would lead to QQ & RQ (Sugarman knows we got enough of that already)

Imagine Staugler comes to ZC with 2.5k worth of gear. upon entering the zone he is melted instantly by my, clearly superior play style.
Thats 2.5k worth of gear that is just, gone.
Now imagine Stalker again enters wth 2.5k worth of gear and doesn't die instantly. Instead he kills 2-3 players and obtains their gear. now he's holding 6.5k worth of gear. Now on his way back to base he happens to die in a crit death. That's now 6.5k just, gone.
I just cant see it serving any real purpose. It adds nothing but rage imo.
Lastly, I'm not saying it would entirely remove certain weapons from play. But I for one would be more inclined to take something that is not going to turn my spoils of battle into nothingness. I would be less far inclined to take plasma or turbo for example.
