Some cover at the family gate
« on: September 25, 2014, 03:53:56 PM »

I've noticed all the other gates have ruins or building cutting off large areas visually, but we have a no mans land that extends several hundred meters down the entire exit grid side. And on the other side of that is a street that extends the entire vertical length with very little rubble blocking sight.

Why is only the family gate a snipers paradise? >.<

I was thinking the same thing the other day, and yes I would rather have stealthers than 90 hex snipers.

I like it how it is, having a death squad behind some wall is way worse

Oh man i am a sniper so i love open fields and all, but just in terms of evenness, the family gate is the only one so vastly open, if i were any other faction i'd be there all day with some sniper buddies lol.

EDIT; I'll go out on a limb and say it is likely the best sniping location in the game, and is that really the trait that any gate should have? ;)

the last thing you want is cover. Cover just gives enemy faction members blind corners to shoot you from that guards don't see. I hate V-tec gates because it is so easy to avoid guard patrols there and PK
