[MISC] AP loss when shot not actually fired
« on: September 25, 2014, 03:32:00 PM »

I have noticed that occasionally my character will use the AP of a shot without actually firing, this happens most when a target moves out of sight or dies just before i fire, possibly linked to the delay in aimed shots, i use an m1c quite often, if that helps.

What weapon and situation caused this?

I'd like more info, this is a bug i'd like to try to fix if it at all possible.

Does this happen in any other FOnlines?

Well it definitely happens with the M1C, which seems to have a high aimed shot delay time. And always when the target moves into blocked sight at the last moment or dies at the last moment, no firing animation or sound occurs and no ammo is lost, but AP are expended.

As for it occurring in other fonlines and for other weapons, I am not sure.

It also can happen with a sledgehammer (try to do some mine quests and kill some molerats, character swings at them, but by the time you hit them, they leave your 2hex zone, which results in ap loss.)

I stopped considering it a bug long ago, I think that you spend ap not on squeezing the trigger, but on aiming ^^ so that's fine with me, even though I use M1C only.
