A good question would be why we started from step 1 again. A year of maybe low activity balancing gone completely to waste only for the new release to have as many problems if not more. Yes most players who stay here are pvp players only and it shows, even now when we have 50-60 online we have 3 sided 10+ per each side battles.

Activity outside the core was removed for a good reason the ~zc is nice way to protect scavengers but as teela stated need to be tweaked so we dont have teams of players roaming without triggering zc.

All in all its sad that we started from step 1 or maybe even step 0, yes there is a lot of way for improvement and its a very long way from being on the same level as aop pre wipe balanced. All the players who were here before can agree that it was more balanced before and we only lacked a higher amount of players.

Now we had so many features in this season and most of them didnt work as intended, or didnt work at all and thats a shame cause most of them sounded nice. Also remember no grinding is a feature not a mistake ;)

As for the features, the only one major bad decision was to introduce 2 new factions to the already low populated server. If anything 2 factions should've been removed tbh.

So here is a little idea to keep things interesting and keep players in game.

There was a stage at the beginning of this season where tier 8 and 9 was not in game and fighting was done with CA and ww2 snipers and such. It was fun.

My suggestion is to have similar approach for each season, slowly revealing new tiers as time goes on.
Basically at the start of a season there would be only low tier stuff available. Then after some time (i.e. few weeks) two new tiers would become available. Then, after another few weeks, another 2 levels, and so on.

I think it would keep people interested, would allow to balance weapons properly for each tier and keep people in game. Currently with max lvl available, lower tier stuff doesn't have much value at all. I believe the above suggestion could fix that.

yup devs said that many times, pay is based on amount of ppl participating on ZC so swarms get less money

In that case it only proves that it is currently not enough. That's why my suggestion.

Sorry but I don't see any positive effect of lowering value of misc loot items. If anything it removes possibility for noobs to earn some caps and renders all those item useless. You could even remove those items completely.

**Problem
Smaller factions keep loosing fights to bigger ones and in result not being paid enough to re-buy lost gear.
In result they get discouraged, don't want to go pvp, get killed in the core and rage quit.

***Solution
I suggest to increase ZC payouts (caps! not xp) based on number of players from a faction in the zone.
12+ players -> 100% pay (as it is curently)
11 players -> 110% pay
10 -> 120%
...
2 -> 200%

Limit of 2 players would be to prevent 1 chars annoying the capping team just to get caps.

Also, sneaks would not be a part of the above system as it would only encourage teams of 2 (or more) sneaks even more to annoy the capping team to get 200% caps.

EDIT: Realized that sneaks cannot contest so ignore my last point.

I agree with Stalker and voted for 3rd option - Make them recon with access to traps.
Sneaks would be a lot of fun if they could set traps (explosive, napalm, mustard gas, etc.), make players visible to other team using spray guns, grenades and grenade launchers, poison players or even create holograms of players to confuse the enemy.
Their role should be to scout and do indirect damage.

At the moment 90% of guns in the game are useless and not even worth of picking up.
It's clear that a lot of work went into adding so many new weapons to the game so it would be a pity to waste all that effort.

I suggest to buff low and mid tier guns so that they can be viable and have their specific purpose.
Same goes for armors - there's a huge gap between low and high tier armors i.e. CA vs CAmk2 (mk2 vs mk3 has less difference so that's ok).

Minimizing the gap in stats of low-mid tier armors and weapons would allow for more diversity, would give a reason to go to the core to scavenge. It would also help with the problem of people not being able to afford top tier stuff for pvp.

Maybe all this is already planned, dunno if I posted something obvious.

I think no to just being recon, everyone should be able to hold his own.  None of this, this guy is the medic, this guy is the tank, this guy is the scout bullshit.  it is pvp game, everyone should be able to fight.
So some other solution is needed.
Maybe make it so you can't sneak with certain weapons, like sniper rifles etc would be nice solution, but maybe hard to code.

Remove sneak entirely then.

I think all Energy Weapons could use some love here. Solar is not an exception. Other Energy guns would also need some changes as at the moment there is almost no one that uses them.

There's one thing that everyone should follow to prevent such actions in future. That is, if your buddy dies, either leave his shit so that he can come back and pick it up, or take it but give it back as soon as you can.
