I used to think this, then I learned to full auto.  Also the video of the AK74 against PA is more than enough evidence that they're doing FINE.

Heh, when that AR buff came in, it really shouldn't have been applied to AKs, I think they were some of the only decent ARs before the damage buff.

Certainly makes the other 7 or so ARs kind of pointless.

I've also already suggested a buff to AKs long ago before the AR buff, and a dev has answered why they wont be.

Im not sure get it.... the AKS did 20 and so per burst, and the PA guy was completely surrounded, took a rocket in the face on top of that.

I guess I misunderstood the message here, but what are you seeing here? Bursts that don't cost much AP?

The AKs-74 is currently the best small gun bursting weapon.

The AKs-74 is currently the best small gun bursting weapon.

And thats because of the cheap cost in action points, correct?

Actually, 2x hit the gaps are a large part of why it does so much damage. It outdamages most smallguns on a per burst basis, and it costs less AP and has a larger magazine.
It's an all around better gun than the g3, the aug, the bar, saw, etc etc..

i find the AKS-74 to be my favourite AR next to the FN LAR, actually, they both do decent damage with low AP cost

Im a huge fan of the M16, I can shoot around 8-9 shots with BRoF and FS off the bat in one long burst.  Double tap kicks ass.
