14mm and 223 pistols
« on: October 12, 2014, 05:29:05 AM »

I think this 2 guns need some tweaks
14mm pistol 45 ap ????? wtf it is not fit for spam and not suitable for aim crits
"Pistols can be separated into two different categories: slow, heavy pistols like the 14mm Pistol best suited for targeted shots using crit-related weapon perks?" 14mm actual perks Faster Reload Bonus Damage Knockout Strike very crit related, max range 30 superb for aimed play
"and fast shooting "light" pistols like the Colt M1911 on the hand, best suited for targeting limbs or simply shooting the torso with a good rate of fire and preferably a high base crit chance." m1911 actual perks Faster Reload x2 More Criticals x2 Better Criticals ,totaly not for aimed headshots no way

and 223. this thing MUST go back in its fkn rightful place as second best pistol after GP
it is the FKN Blade Runner hand cannon it needs 5fkn perks and meaningful ones
i badly miss the SPECIAL WEAPON vibe this one had idc if needed make it tier 3 this one deserves it , for fuck sake it was only ONE of this weapon available in F1 and requiered quest and  certain level for the npc to make it

14mm is great for penetrating armors but AP cost is realy high. .223 need a buff indeed. Every handgun should be compared to .50 deagle in order to make it balanced (.50 deagle = low range, medium rate of fire, high damage + quite expensive ammo)

Yeah with that bad ammo capacity they do indeed both need buff. Either lower ap cost, more ammo(clip size) or bigger range.

223 should be king of guns, but its far from good as deagle, damage isn't everything.

14mm pistol deserves to be king of handguns

theoretically its ammo should have even higher energy than the .50 bmg

The ap cost on these guns is 30 and 45. That's 2 or 3 shots per ap pool. Much spam, such two shots, very OP, WOW!

Unless your post was to point out my post as spam -in that case honey look up what redundancy means :P

Auto-knockdown and auto-knockout has been really hit or miss and the point of many rage filled discussions.

On the receiving end its absolute shit and on the giving end its hilarious. This is a fine line and I feel like if instead of guaranteed knockdown/knockout it should be a 100% chance that is negate-able by the respective critical resistance.

As far as the 223 and 14mm pistol goes, they could go for some tweaking to make it specially good for certain builds. Probably make 14mm the tin-can opener and the 223 the HIGH ALPHA damage gun.

We dont need alpha damage gun. We simply need great handgun for something. .50deagle does enormous damage, 14mm can bypass most of armors, but .223 doesnt have anything special. Its just slightly higher range with AP cost similiar to .50, with nothing to look for realy. My suggestion is remove accurate perk from it and give it one more ignore armor class and possibly increase range by +5 and make it anti escape handgun. Also I dont know why it has blinding strike.

edit: crippling strike instead of blinding strike would be awesome too, for leg destroying :D

The .50 BMG has enormous potential damage, also potentially quite average damage. A high alpha strike seems more suited to 14mm and the .223 seems like it should be a tin can opener, but even with the roles reversed it sounds like a good idea.

I would like to see something along these lines; The 50 bmg has highest potential damage, but also a more random damage score, also good KO KB perks. The 14mm has higher base damage, but not as good max damage, but has improved crit chance and better crits. While the .223 has average damage, but great armor piercing and decent crippling chance.

sadly in all categories of weapons there are BESTs and that is wrong but i hope in time it will be fixed and pistols are good start

meanwhile armors are generally very well made to fit specific functions , there is no bad armor and no more "me ta bezt cus got HRADNEHT PWARA ARMHA "
now do the same with weapons make it tactical choice
