Need information about DT

how exactly DT of armors works related to DT modifier of ammo
because most ammo have giant DT piercing and neglible DR
my question is lets say 20armorDT-50ammoDTmodifier=?

Ammo mods are % / %
So if armor is  12/50
against ammo 50/50
armor has only 6/25
